Kraigg Brathwaite revisited ...
This is the reason why Kraigg Brathwaite's spot is NOT a closed case.
I was a top cricket analyst calling for the switch to Walton.
Chad Walton did make the top-score of 42 in the last T-20 game.
So contrary to what VoiceofReason would have us believe ... he has not been a total disaster.
However, in my own mind I was laboring under the impression that Walton would follow his push from T-20 into the 50 overs team ...
by making a case for himself for the vacancy in the TEST TEAM for #1. An opening Batsman ..... and also #2.) An in form Wicket-Keeper/Batsman
For this ... I am disappointed.

WI top order not by any means concrete but Kraigg is not the answer
I gave my total & complete support to: Shai Hope, Jason Mohamed, Evin Lewis, Chadwick Walton and Sunil Ambris .....
because I seen them perform.
I have watched the raise their game.

At this stage I am open to trying Devon Smith again ... for the um-teenth time.
In reply to cricketmygame
Because it appears to me that Devon Smith has rethought his batting ... and this time he has decided to bat within his limitations ....
and therefore be at a reduced risk of getting out.
It must be extremely frustrating to the official selectors to watch Chadwick bat so flawlessly & field so brilliantly against international opponents
in the games that do not matter ..... only to see him misfield ... drop catches ... and not play a single MATCH WINNING inning ..........
in the REAL THING.

This is the single most indelible line of demarcation that separates mere mortal batsmen ... from the likes of a:
Sir Garfield Sobers ..... or Sir Vivian Richards.

Devon has definitely done well recently. he wount be my first choice (ramprakash and hick to blame) but I wount object to his selection either.
walton definitely getting a good run. when guys do so well in warm ups but not in the real game you have to question
Devon is head and shoulder above the present crop that our selectors are masking as openers. They simply do not give comfort to the die hard West Indian support like me. Given Devon psychological problems he had with Haffez who has been subsequently banned for throwing, he definitely deserved a recall. He merit selection this season. He had a dismal showing at the beginning, however he has risen above that and has produced well above all the other players in his last 5 innings.
I wonder who is putting pressure on this same top and middle order now?
Is it kraigg or Shadab?

...then the problem wasn't Devon; yet both he and Hafeez get ban
For the records, Hafeez got Smith out twice in his test carreer....
both innings in a test match at Providence in 2011
But 4 times in ODIs
Yadi, what gin appen to Devon when the spin come find him lacking??????????????
one gear kraigg has established his niche.
Why wunna want to enter a snail in a relay race?
Wunna only setting it up and ultimately the team for failure
a snail can only move slowly
it not going to finish nothing but last in a race
let it do what it does.....which is whatever a snail does.
It does it well enough and really doesn't know how to do anything else.
leff it be
same fuh kraigg
granny used to say one fool mek many...
amazing how such "intellectual" BS could get so far...

For behold: Both Walton & Lewis have come short of the glory of God.
