Vishaul Singh.....
The professional's professional. Guts and determination. Dependable, especially when it really matters.
With lots of league experience in England, the only places he hasn't proven his worth yet are Aus, NZ and RSA.

The guy scored 161* on the A team against SL.
I reminded this MB about it, a few days ago
He is in the X111, I selected.
In reply to CricketLuva4
This is why I think Vishal is selected ahead of Ambris, Hamilton is also in the president X1.
Batsman Vishaul Singh's career-best 161, and offspinner Rahkeem Cornwall's 6 for 91 led West Indies A's 333-run rout of Sri Lanka A in the second four-day game at the Pallekele International Stadium. West Indies A levelled the three-match series with the win.
Vishaul Singh, Cornwall headline WI A's dominancel

you a keep database like courtesy now
big match player
In reply to Norm
The fact that he did well on the previous FC season then went had continued that on the A team but then came back and failed matches after matches this regional season is not a good quality especially now than another high class match came and he did well.
You have to have that appetite and attitude to perform every single time u step out no matter what the level.
In reply to Andy99
He had his supporters worried for a while, alright. Let's see how he moves forward.
Vishaul reminds me of Gundappa Viswanauh - the man that secured the other end while first Sardesai and then Gavaskar batted outstandingly at the other. At times, Vishwanath was the lone man standing when even Sardesai or Gavaskar wasn't.

Remember Eknauth Solkar?

specialist catcher?
best ever at short leg?
In reply to Narper
Sardesai's partner-in-crime against WI in their 1970 WI tour, and for a few series after that against other opposition. Solkar partnered Sardesai in several big and defiant partnerships against WI, starting with the first Test at Sabina, before Gavaskar's debut. Uton Dowe was the WI "bad man" then!
That Indian team, under Ajit Wadekar, did great things for India.

You know him....thorn in the side of WI
Class is permanent!
If the young man has the appetite for the big occasion,
all the better. His performances against
international opposition is good.

Vishal have to kick that door down. If he is good enough then he should have no worries.
In reply to runout
If he can't then he doesn't deserve to be there.

Vishaul looked very good today....I first saw him a few weeks ago when he looked scratchy but today he batted with the confidence and assurance that people were talking about.I think Hety is ready,Singh soon come....
He has shown consistency over two years. He should be in the test squad. I like his approach to gathering runs.
Nuff men hating on Vishaul already, make no mistake, oh no not another one of "those" Guyanese batsmen. A guy just picked an 11 had no Vishaul, when I asked why, he responded, he has done nothing of note and for me to state my case. I posted his A team tour of SL stats. I received no responses since.
In reply to Norm
Norm he's a good batsman but I'm not sure he's ready for the rigors of the big dance. I do get the impression he is a bit too fragile. But believe me I would be thrilled if he proves me wrong.
In reply to Runs
the problem is I can't tell the difference between Chattergoon, Arjune, Chandrika, Hemraj, Singh
so is Vishaul a Big Deal?
In reply to Curtis
They all wear feathers. It's tough to tell the difference
