Hmmm, 7 Boot Lickers!
I see the "Mafia Quota" went up by 1
Just one question about Leveridge... why so much hype?
The mans bowling averages 40 after 5 first class games in which he took 6 wickets
Surely, he must do better
In reply to thefacts
Name your team , don't be afraid

Am I ever
From those available, this would be my XI:
Lewis
Powell
Hetmeyer
Vishaul
J Mo (captain)
Chase
Dowrich (wk)
Jerome
Bishoo
Gabriel
Joseph

perhaps you will be happy if we do like the South Africa quota system, let us give each territory 3 slots on the squad, forget about the best performing and those who through hard work and patience deserves to make the team, that way each territory would be assured of representation on the squad
or better yet no bajans on the team....
In reply to hawk
I posted my Best XI from available players .. it has 2 Boot Lickers!
In reply to Runs
I picked a team to win.
If Bajans perform they get picked.
In reply to thefacts
A Test team without Kraigg???
No S. Hope?
U just picking names u like?
In reply to thefacts
Leveridge bowls fast and he's tall.
We can't have a guy that quick not playing for the West Indies.
He has to play.

7 Tests
Highest Score 41
Avg: 17.15
0 X 100, 50
and you saying this
is priceless!!!!!
Only a Boot Licker with a Batting Avg of 17 after 7 tests, with no 50s or 100s, gets an auto pick from the mafia.
In reply to thefacts
oh no you are not you would never be able to pick a good team, you will always pick because you want limited bajans on the team, so go ahead and remove whichever two you selected because you and I know they are just token names
the two bajans you selected are the weakest in the team and most liable to lose their spot
Chase hasn't light it up since that 100 and 5 fer
Dowrich hasn't had alot of crease time and is facing stiff competition from Hamilton and with emergence of Jangoo needs to some numbers in the runs column
you are fooling no one my friend...NO ONE

He has to play.
Hmmmmm, "Fast and Tall"
Get your Brains checked man.... which era are you living in?
The boy averages 40 with the ball, with not a single 5fer in 5 first class games... and this is against probably the weakest batsmen in our domestic cricket, with none of the top players playing first class.
Have you seen any evidence across the entire world, where a "Fast and Tall" bowler became a success without other more important attributes like Seam, Swing, Control, Discipline, Variety, etc...
Loud Stewpsss!

At 21 yrs old... openning the batting for the WI.
He clearly is one of the better batmen.
Now tell me what has Hetty, lewis n vishaul done?
But that's a non issue cause I know you know Hope will play, unless he gets injured.
In reply to hawk
i am just hoping this farce called "West Indies" ends after the 2019 world cup.
really praying for this miracle..
anyday, i'll prefer "going alone" and watching all players getting their best chances.
In reply to Gun_Play
They are performing in the opportunities provided.
Check the score vs Pakistanis.
In reply to Gun_Play
life would be so simple, if we just went all alone.
I have no problem with this XI ..

So what do you expect? He is still learning his trade.
Leveridge has pace and his bowling isnt uncontrolled.
He must play, ya can't teach pace.
After Gabriel he is the next bowler that must be in my team.
In reply to Gun_Play
Plain, Crazy!
I can understand him playing A-games, tour matches based on raw talent, but what you are saying is just plain crazy!
In reply to thefacts
Performing an being a consistent batsman are two very different things.
Vishaul bats time and I like that. If he was given a play I would have no problem.
But Hetty and lewis have yet to convince me.
And none of three of those guys can out bat Kraigg
In reply to thefacts
West Indies cricket was here long before us and it will be here long after
You can't tek de lixxxxxx so you want to pull stumps.
And put Reifer in de Bajan team, he aint guyanese.

...not a bad team...take out the injured Gabriel and Miller...that leaves ELEVEN...one of Hetmyer,Singh or Jmo would have to go for a genuine fastbowler in Roach,Joseph or Leveridge.
In reply to Gun_Play
Do you ever step out in the real world?
Check where we are in the rankings for starts.
I would drop Hetmyer...Singh and Mohammed has all performed so I don't mind them playing...Singh has performed when stepping up although he avgs 26.41 in regional four day.
Reifer with a batting avg over 40 and a bowling avg UNDER 30....the leading allrounder in the four day tournament...if he takes wickets he MUST be close to playing for WI.

This is my new look WI team due to the fact that most of the current players are dead weight. There are however, other young players showing some signs but will have to be address later on with consistency.
Powell is still a ? for me but because no one else has shown consistency, I'll give him the edge due to experience. Holder is still in consideration mainly as a batsman who can bowl (he needs to work very hard on his bowling not forsaking his batting), Cariah has shown consistency and now transforming those starts into long innings. Dowrich must perform with the bat in this test series to secure his place in the test team. Paul shows signs to become even better. Roach is over if you are considering rebuilding.
The bottom line is if you going to lose, do it with a young team where patience, proper coaching, training and management must be exercised while they learn and developed.
Roach over at 28?
In reply to analyst-kid
Injuries as a fast bowler normally makes you older in performance. What's his bowling speed at the moment?
