Blackwood & Dowrick ought to be rested
In reply to Yadi
wunnu love part time keepers
they love to lose you matches
ask the chairman of selecta
In reply to doosra
Why? They are two of the better young test players!
In reply to Yadi
Agreed, you cannot pick players who are badly out of form and somehow expect them to miraculously deliver at a much higher level.
In reply to Runs
Only if dem facing WI bowling
In reply to Yadi
Blackwood is not test material but Viv say he will be great one day so they keep playing him
In reply to Runs
Blackwood has done it before, came alive in test after a relatively poor regional season, some players just like playing in big matches!
In reply to Yadi
Just because this is a Rum Shop it dont mean you have to talk uninformed crap all the time. Even a drunk man could go and check the stats for himself and see that Dowrich's average in his short 8 test career is 34; that that is 3 runs higher than the 31 average of the specialist batsman, Blackwood, you are comparing him to; and a good 8 runs higher than the 26 average of the last wicketkeeper batsman, Ramdin.
And even if you were too drunk to understand averages, you could simply enquire about his last test performance - against Pakistand - in a match winning effort where he scored 107 runs in 2 innings, including an undefeated 60 under pressure to win batting last in the 2nd innings.
Jesus wept, man.
In reply to Narper
Yadi-tek your advise..from the MB.
wait wait, wasn't Dowrich the new messiah after Ramdin was given the booth?
In reply to Logic
I don't understand why people are calling for dropping of the two better test batsmen, while others with less averages are unscathed?
In reply to Yadi
OK. Perhaps I over-reacted. Maybe you framed this question to provoke some debate of some sort. That said, it's it still seems like a "The World is Flat, not Round. Your Thoughts?" kind of debate proposition.
Anyway on another, your comparisons with Blackwood are flawed. What is your basis for saying Blackwood is out of form? I would counter-propose that Blackwood is just a technically limited batsman with good hand-eye coordination. Sometimes he will come off, sometimes he won't.
Despite the odd calls for him to be included in the wi limited over squads, the truth is that he has performed fairly modestly for Jamaica in the limited over game, perhaps because his main outlets at long off and long on are more likely to be marshalled from ball one.

Sir, I think you better read my posts more carefully. The alliance you perceive may not exist.

What about Singh , your argument still is valid?
In reply to tc1
Singh has batted his way into contention.
In reply to Logic
Don't get it twisted, it was a facetious opportunism, clearly intended to undermine your perceived logic or lack thereof!
pick your best keeper...
it;s a specialist position
missing chances can cost you test matches
In reply to doosra
so Ramdin getting a recal?
In reply to Runs
higher standards! doan hold your breath!!
In reply to googley
All good
In reply to Runs
Does that make sense to you, you allow Singh to be pick after failing in the dung heap, but dropped Shane after failing in the dung heap and have the nerve to speaking about higher standard.
In reply to tc1
Singh performed on the A team tour in SL also
