In reply to Slipfeeler
Chris Gayle is a LEGEND
This is another record that cannot be broken
Like him also being the first to score a T20I ton
In reply to Narper
Definitely a cricket legend and proves that West Indians still have the talent and capability of dominating world cricket.
In reply to Slipfeeler... just require a little management.
Congrats CHG. World Boss!
Congrats to the World Boss Mr. C.H. Gayle 18 T20 centuries 58 T20 50's
In reply to Cornfused
My dream or expectation is for all our young cricketers to emulate some of that World beating and high cricket performances consistently especially when representing any West Indies team!
In reply to Slipfeeler
agreed .......he should be our next batting coach when he retires
In reply to ponderiver
Gayle has now become a specialist T20 batsman but remember he scored 333 in a test innings for West Indies, along with several centuries so I guess he could balance his coaching method between T20 and Test coaching procedures. I know the young players would have fun with him as their batting coach for he is constantly a jovial person.
In reply to Slipfeeler
Let me help you out.
He also scored 317 before the 333. Those 2 triples have put him in an exclusive club of multiple triples where his contemporaries are the likes of Sir Donald Bradman, BC Lara, and Virender Sehwag.
And don't forget his twenty something ODI tons, most for the West Indies.
Just wanted to help.

T20 batting is the hardest you dont have time to paint an innings ....... Gayle is we only living Legend ......... and a successful businessman and a philanthropist to boot
The Universal Boss........
Sad all these talented West Indians are not representing their nation.

Thanks appreciated the help! WI have to find a way to keep their best players but it's difficult as IPL money is very attractive to all cricketers, maybe WICB could work out a schedule which allows players to play both for WI and IPL or other T20's without animosity.
In reply to Slipfeeler
We missed the opportunity at the advent of the IPL. Instead of trying to accommodate, we instead tried to persecute.
When Sri Lanka abandoned their scheduled England tour so as to make their players available for IPL participation, guess who deputized?
In reply to Drapsey
So true bro! We missed the boat to set an agreeable precedence!
One can only hope that an opener in any or multiple formats can produce runs like this for us again soon.
In reply to Slipfeeler
WICB have found a way to keep their best stars. OUT that is.
Only Board in the cricketing world that shuns their stars.
In reply to rillo
Do you think they might start to change their attitude with the younger players? Both Carlos played for WI then went straight to IPL, same with Rovman who was on the squad.
