holds its anniversary celebrations and not one Yardie in sight? Blackwood plays on that honour alone..Someone needs to sit and watch from the bench.

So if St Vincent was holding its anniversary celebrations and a match was being played their should Kenroy Peters get a play on that honor?
Greneda? Should Smithy or/and Fletcher get a play?
Call back Sammy, or debut Charles for St. Lucia?
Shilly for Dominica?
See why I say u does post the dumbest shit

are you full upstairs? is he not in the picked squad? Is he not consistently in the starting 11?
are the others you've mentioned in the current squad?
In reply to Raggs
But you not calling for Blackwood to play based on his performance......as a specialist bat, he averaged 23.14 in the regional 4 day so it couldn't possibly be based on his performance.
You strongly advocating for him to play in this game solely based on his nationality

umm 'big idiot'... who?

Did you not see where another chap said that Blackwood is bored with the local cricket. Once the bright lightd come on, he is going to morph into Brian Lara.
In reply to NYCGURU
Blackwood has ability. He CAN bat. I not entirely in disagreement with that statement.
Where I disagree is that he can turn it on and off at will....and of course....he's no Brian Lara.
He's not the only player who has a sub par domestic record but has done relatively well at the higher level
So it is out of the question that Blackwood turns up at Sabina Park and rattles off a quick fire test century which would turn his form around?

NOOOO! And for his and WI cricket sakes, I hope he does.
In reply to Raggs
Dwayne Smith turned up at Cape Town in 2004 and rattled off a quick fire century
Xavier Marshall turned up at Kensington against OZ in 2008 and rattled off a quick fire 85
etc etc etc
Hoonu 'ead 'ard
It doesn't matter...hardly anybody's going to turn up to watch this match.
Jamaicans will save their money for track meets and the CPL.
In any case, Blackwood still averaged more in the PCL than two of the three who've been called into the squad.
1) Kieran Powell - 342 runs @ ave of 28.50
2) Shimron Hetmyer - 496 runs @ ave of 38.15
3) Vishaul Singh - 317 runs @ ave of 26.41
4) Jermaine Blackwood - 578 runs @ ave of 32.11

We should expect more from a sitting middle order test batsmanW
what the hell is he doing averaging in the low 30's at the dung heap level?
In reply to SirGarny
I think the incumbent should have had at least the first test.
Hetmyer should have come into the 2nd test after Blackwood's xpected failure
In reply to SirGarny
We should expect more from a sitting middle order test batsman
and we do!
but what is the rationale for replacing the same with someone that performed below his figures?
In reply to camos
They lived up to their low first class and PCL AVERAGES.
