I get that they are invasive and more than a bit of a nuisance especially early on a weekend morning, but I didn't see that listed in the article as a reason that Russia is labelling them as an extremist group, or "pose[s] a threat to the rights of the citizens, public order and public security".

I know Russia doesn't exactly subscribe to the 'freedom of religion' policy that 'Western' countries claim to do, but it seems a bit reactionary and out of the blue.

Snoop, you call it imposing, however, JWs are looking for those who are willing t listen. They're obeying that part of the Bible that says,

Mark 16:15

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Did you miss that part, or is it that you don't believe in the Bible? If you do, you need preaching to. big grin

That's exactly where I expected this discussion would lead to. Not in the knock down, drag out brawl Snoop started. big grin

I'm wondering if Trump will have anything to say about this. He tweets about everything else.

If you believe in God. And you believe that those who wrote it were inspired by God. Then it's a good guide to how mankind should live.

But one bible thumper has already stated in this thread that Mr God doesn't dictate your life. He has given humankind free will and choice.

So, you can exercise your free will and choose to live any which way you want and/or desire. The upshot however, is that this free will and choice comes with an almighty shytty condition - you must chose to believe in Mr. God or face eternal damnation and punishment.

Sounds an awful lot like living in North Korea. lol

God, I believe, created the human being with the ability to do whatever he pleases. He provided a blueprint, but there's no demand to follow it. However, there is a caveat. Which is why I started this whole thing about Putin.

Luke 12:47

And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.

The impression I get from Trump is that if it's not the evangelicals, it's not on the radar.

JWs seem to be a *very* distant cousin, if any, to most Christian denominations, for whatever reason (I'd guess the Trinity concept, although maybe it's the WatchTower) so maybe there won't be much condemnation of Russia's policy from other faith groups?

Invite a JW by your house and he/she'll answer all your questions. big grin Explain everything.

Here are the rules. You can choose to follow or not follow them. If you don't, here's what's likely to happen.

Just be glad that he gave you a chance at life. Tantrum or not.

The success of the species came with rules. In fact, we were not supposed to die at all. But we can't follow rules.

Doesn't your household come with rules?

Yeah, and you never got your @$$ cut?

I said success of the species. The human species. Don't you see what we've done to ourselves? How many friends did you have that didn't make it to the age of 30, 40, 50, 60? For whatever reason. You violate the rules, you pay the penalty.

What evidence do you have that is true? That if you follow these rules (which you have no idea the validity of them) you will have eternal life?
