Those Yardies are the epitome of resourcefulness and ingenuity.

Survival at any cost, their motto.

You think Jamaicans care about this match? None playing so none would be interested in helping out the Barbadians with a little sabotage.
big grin

My sister in law told us her cricket loving family have zero interest in this match. They saving up their money for the CPL.

That's a lame excuse.

I maintain that they're resourceful. Upturned palm(s) behind the back, etc. wink

When I compare grounds/pitches of other venues to WI....this is what I come away with from windians - inept, indifference, phlegmatic, stolid, etc. Who vex vex.

Whatever - we're more concerned about the displaced people and the folks whose homes are under water.

More worried about bridges collapsing and flooded farms.

Go read how much rain fell in the past 36 hours.

You worried about seeping under covers - have a look at the outfield this morning - stewwwwwps.

what amount of rain is a pitch cover made to withstand? nothing is engineered for 100% protection!

If the water seep through the covers then its a poor excuse but if it seeped from under the square, then that's ok cause from seeing pics of jamaica it really rained loads. Normally squares are made to slope towards the boundary to avoid seepage from the square. I ain't know how Jamaica own is but that's my two cents.
