To me, it appears he doesn't pick from the hand, and reads from the pitch

Unfortunately, shai hope also gets into a bad position with his front foot and then is trying to play from that position

But what Yadi is suggesting is ridiculous, as if Hope is being robbed by bad umpiring or getting run out etc

I know that it is Shai Hope's fault

My approach will be to keep playing the kid in ODIs so that he gains more exposure and then blood him again in a few years.

There are atleast two who are more deserving:

Blackwood

Yesterday's dismissal was particularly disturbing ...if Hope takes the full stride down the pitch he negates the spin and the ball doesn't take the edge of his bat.

The guy on the other end is known for barely moving his feet...if at all...and the lack of a basic stride down the pitch with the front foot was Powell's undoing as well.

Lack of application....laziness...inexperience...take your pick...

Hope might be another Devon Smith in the making, someone who looks good but does not produce consistently. Can WI cricket wait on him? If he does not produce in the 2nd innings it might be time to bring back Blackwood or even try Mohammed, they cannot do worst.
