Wes Hall looking at the bat with delight! One would think he was the number 3 bat!!

Wes was a batsman?

Can you imagine a guy like David Warner using one of those bats?
Just goes to show how good guys like RBK and Sobers were to hit blistering sixes with those wafer thin blades against the likes of Thommo and Lillie and Wes Hall.

T20, improved bats and fielding/bowling restrictions have transformed cowlashers to heroes!

BABU LALL looking very polished
Then the game wasn't as commercialized...players played for pride, and they believed in the cause. Then Windians had to show the rest of the world that they could compete.
Today, before a player makes it to first class, they are already spoiled. They think the game owes them something. Hence when they go to compete, they do not compete with the conviction of the past heroes.
Just look at the way our players play the game today? Big difference...you will never find people falling in love with today's players like they once did with the greats of the past.

Yes it's unfortunate that the WICB never named something after him.
There will never be another like him.
