RIP, he continued to play cricket in the Fort Lauderdale area.

Munilall was a very talented all-rounder, with a great love for the game. It was said that he also loved to drink, which impeded his progress in cricket.

He excelled in First Division cricket in both Berbice and Demerara, but faltered in
first class cricket.

Here is what I gathered about him.

Rest in peace, Lal.

Sorry to hear about Lall. Saw him many times...the folks from Canje felt he was over looked in favor of Kalli. Canje had a good back in those days.

RIP Lall!

He always enjoyed himself, and entertained others. Enterprising batsmen. As a bowler he got the new ball to swing.

Maybe it is because I was young, but people like Lal Munilall and Claude St. John,Leonard McCrea,Winston English and Adjodha Persaud seemed to have more fun playing cricket than the guys these days. I certainly enjoyed watching them. The other thing was that they were accessible to talk to pesky little boys who were willing to run after balls in the outfield during their net practices on the various grounds around Georgetown.

In 1969 he took the first ball for Guyana against Julien opening the bowling for Trinidad in Bourda and it was a contest but he didn't last...he was subsequently dropped down the order (making way for Freddo and Camacho and those guys) He had that stand and deliver approach.

Nice chap.
May his soul rest in peace.

Condolences to his family and friends.

Munilall was good club cricketer but not quite up to First Class level.
