But I know where you are ,sarcastically and cynically, trying to reach at...

So just to get this over with, rather than playing cat and mouse ..

1) This was a great win for WI.

2) What made the win even more sweet for me, was that it was truly a TEAM EFFORT.
1st innings -- Chase 100+, Jason 50+
2nd Innings -- Gabriel 4 wkts, Bishoo 3, Jason 3
3rd Innings -- Hope 90
4th innings -- Gabriel 5, Jason 3

All in all, 5 players contributed majorly to this victory, which is a GREAT GREAT thing.

3) Out of the remaining 6 -- KB, Powell, Hetmyer, Vishaul, Dowrich and Joseph ---
KB -- played well in the 2nd innings, but yet to reach 50 in this series.
Powell -- he has shown an improved technique on his return, but yet to reach a 50 and is still throwing his wicket away.
Hetmyer -- has the technique, but 4 failed innings are a FACT.
Vishaul -- played well in the 2nd innings, but same as Hetmyer.
Dowrich -- had a lean game.
Joseph -- in the 1st innings when the pitch was normal, he went wicketless. in the 2nd innings when the pitch was doing things, he was very effective.

There are questions against all these players, excluding Dowrich and including Shai Hope (who has just had one good innings in 9 tests) and much work needs to be done, but since WI have won, atleast till the next test, there can't be much to complain about, but it never hurts to be "Planning" positively.

So here are my final thoughts on the matter.

Going forward, After this series there is a Tour of the Pommies coming up later, I would like to see these 3 players added to the current squad of 13.

Jason M - middle order batsmen
Damian Jacobs -- second spinner
Jerome Taylor -- this team could do with some experience.

I would say, by the end of that tour, the next course correction evaluation will be a justified plan.

The one question though, If I was to see if from a Pakistani point of view, is that:

Did WI win this or Did Pakis lose this?

While for me, WI won it.

There is no doubt in my mind also, that the Pakistanis are now reviewing the following:

1) The Decision to drop Wahab Riaz

2) Batting slowly in the 1st innings when the pitch was in the best condition.

3) Not batting out of the crease when the ball was keeping low in the 2nd innings.

But again, all this is for purely "analytical" purpose.
