Bizarre
- is the next test match in Trinidad?
- they have 15 Pakistanis socializing just so?
- they allow voyeurs in T&T Coastguard?
- the Iron Ore ship - who own that?

When I first read the story, apart from the poor grammatical errors- see the first sentence, the story seemed fishy, no pun intended.
They were described as "Pakistani Fishermen," how could Pakistani fishermen leave all the way from Pakistan to fish in Trinidad waters? Was it recreational fishing or commercial fishing?
The article left me wondering: Are they naturalize Trinis of Pakistani heritage who migrated to Trinidad for a better life?
Then there was the ship involved.
At the very least, this is insanely poor "journalism," incredibly poor writing skills and a disservice to the public who will have more questions than answers about the story, and if true, what of the allegations against the police.
In reply to Emir
And it never dawned on you that there is a Pakistan Road, Marabella, Trinidad and Tobago?
And no...the writer never described them as "Paskistani fishermen." It's only a figment of your imagination.
In reply to Courtesy
What a fucking idiot this Emir fella is.
In his quest to find Muslims persecution around the World, it never dawned on him that this story had nothing to do with the Country of Pakistan.

My first thoughts were, WTF are Pakistani fishermen doing in Trini waters?
I can see them possibly being part of a big commercial fishing vessel in International waters that might have strayed but the story didn't say that.

If you have an insatiable appetite for cutlass fish, it is very easy to leave Abbottabad enter the Indian Ocean, travel around the tip of Africa into the Atlantic and finally into the Gulf of Paria all the while travelling in five pirogues.
The journey back home with pirogues loaded with cutlass fish would have been equally pleasant.
Let's leave Emir alone. He was just having a bad dream about cutlass fish eating him.

All I have to say is
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
That is all
When I first read it I thought they were Pakistanis living in TT,i never thought,or ever heard of a place called Pakistan in Trinidad.Emir is right, the journalism is total shyte, but worse than that is the behaviour of the Coast Guards,I have read stories like that before, but not in the Caribbean,Africa to be exact,if the Coast Guard wants to take a leaf out of their brothers book, fair enough, but don't take it out on hard working people.Give dem fcukers a job with a uniform and they feel they are God's gift, bunch of uneducated philistines.

In reply to JahJah
Totally racist.
Trinis are supposed to be the most diversed people in the Caribbean, according to Bravos.
In reply to JahJah
It's a form of humiliation, and just look who dem doing it to.You are not aware of how many Trini fishermen have died at the hands of their own Trini pirates.Has the Coast Guard ever caught anybody, no dem cyah even catch a fish to eat, so those same people they trying to make fools of will sell dem fish.
You never seen documenteries where African leaders strip their opponents naked and imprison them, I have seen about 4.
In reply to black
WTF wrong to you, tell me wah de fcuk racist bout what ah say, before you jump and call me racist, why don't yo brand those Coast Guards racist.I don't really have to explain my lifestyle to you to prove I am not racist, if you think I am I don't really care.
In reply to granite
The coast guards could very well be racist but I don't have enough information on that. What you said, is here for everyone to see.
In reply to black
If as I suspect, your origin is Guyanese,I need not say anymore.I have an idea of racism and how it can manifest itself,in so many different ways, sometimes the police humiliate non white people in the UK,that is a racist practice. What the Coast Guard did was no different from some of the racists police in England.
I accused the members of the Coast Guards of a racist act,no one else.I would like to remind you that TT has the largest mix of Indo/Afro in the world,so bravo is correct, all those mixtures are producing a new race of people, ask bravo.

Those 'exotic' and famous places names are usually sarcastically assigned to local downtrodden neighborhoods by their residents and the names eventually stick..on the predominantly African sides we have Vegas and Beverly Hills too.
In reply to bravos
Yep. The writer did not make up the name and that there is an historical basis for the "...from Pakistan in Marabella."
Poor writing skills maybe, but De Emir is a bigger ass for trying to expose the writer and link this incident to racism.
There is Bangladesh in Trinidad too
