I'm still concerning about our five batsmen who average under 26 for this series to date...an unchanged team? Hmmm....

Unless Darren Bravo was available or Shiv re-instated cool

Nice.

Only bowlers could have been added to the squad tbh..and they got the job done at Kensigton so...

as Runs said

Unless Darren Bravo was available or Shiv re-instated

The only other batsman in the pic is in the squad already so..

They could have replaced Cummins lol

But they persisted with Gabriel..cant wait to see him in Australia or England....although he might be 85 when next we tour lol

you don't usually change a winning team, plus there could replace 2 as they are 13 in the touring party.

That irks me when people think that way. U always try to eliminate the weakest link. Thats the OZ way to continued success. They dropped a batsma during a recent series even after he scored a 90 in one Test.
Its how auto businessses and others run things for continued success. Its how championship teams repeat; they tinkle with the team to remove weaknesses. Standing pat allows the opps to catch up to you or plan against you.

Is that really true though?

Was the team changed at the start of this series? Did we win the match right before that?

Any more instances?

Even more detail here..

Batsmen who have "failed", or more accurately, underperformed, in 2 previous tests should not be eligible for a third.

In this series alone, here are the returns for Windies top-order batsmen in the 4 innings played.
I've not included Chase or Holder for obvious reasons.

Braithwaite....0, 14, 9, 43
Powell.........49, 33, 38, 6
Hetmyer....... 11, 20, 1, 22
Hope...........2, 6, 5, 90
Singh.........9, 9, 3, 32
Dowrich......56, 0, 2, 29, 2

Out of 24 combined innings:

TWO scores over fifty
THIRTEEN single digit scores
ZERO centuries

Who would want to change a side like that?
