His 11 year old brother is not far behind him

14 year old boy earns physics degree
In reply to ponderiver
Yeah, I heard that earlier.
That is brilliant for his age,I and many others in our Engineering classes found Calculus very difficult, although we were in our mid 20s and 30s.The fact is, the boy of 11 is really a "one off",you do get them from time to time.Physics and Maths is all about practice, intigration, differentiation, calculus, quadratics and maxima and minima,it's all practice.

You can't pigeonhole genius, bro.
Those 2 kids were probably home-schooled by their super-smart parents and that environment combined with genetics made it happen.
all them kids in GT doing 20+ subjects, need to look at these kids.

a lot of the parents home schooling are not really smart people, they do employ a lot of tutors.

In other words, 2 more kids who are smarter than their president.

Nah mate,I wasn't trying to pigeonhole the boy,as you say he is a genius.I have some experience of what you can develop from a 10 year old. When my brother was a ten year old I showed him how to solve a Quadratic Equation, when I was finished he said he could do it,and he did. Some teachers at his school wanted to push him to write O Levels at 11,but my parents didn't want that, instead they wanted him to have a normal childhood.

smart parents.
So what happened? Were you raised by problemjay?
In reply to granite
Solving by what method - quadratics can be solved many ways, by formula, by factoring, by completing the square, etc,
. did your brother master all the ways at 10?
In reply to JahJah
as sheek would say -FUNNY AS RASS!
Who/what/why/where is their father?
In reply to granite
Many child prodigies don't transition into adulthood very well. Nothing is wrong with 11 O levels, but to "skip childhood" for it is a tremendous loss. (and at worst culminating in a desk job doing computational tasks.... for life). If you have a rounded life AND the academic toolbox, then fine...
Kudos to your parents. get out and play football, climb a tree - fall out of it and learn the other-side of life... inter-personal relationships too....
Roundness followed by balance. Balance. Balance.

i am sure if we dug deep there would be an absolute flood of kids smarter than 45.
In reply to ponderiver
Even our resident 10 year old, Nitro, is smarter than the PussyGrabber-in-Chief.
In reply to SnoopDog
that's debateable .....Pussy grabber gets his facts from Fox news
Nitro gets his from notorious PG ....... !!!!???
However back to the subject of the thread .... those two boys are amazing and a credit to themselves and their parents

Solving by the Formula, cant remember it but you may correct me if i'm wrong;b+or- the square root 4 ac-2b divided 2a.Is years now ah done that shit.I always found it much easier by the formula.

Swwedish Olga zsa zsa leave me buddy problemjay alone. I am the only one that's picong pj.
