...The best keeper in the Caribbean cannot even get a game despite leading in dismissals and in runs in the recently concluded R4D...
Mr. Anguilla I am ashamed of you. Dowrich was picked by Courtney Browne...So go figure.
Justice for Jahmar Hamilton!

Dowrich is a shopkeeper. So too is Shai Hope...
In reply to voiceofreason
How's it that the best player for you always come from the leewards or windwards?
Btw was Devon Thomas not the best the other day?
In reply to voiceofreason
Ramdunce still the best test keeper
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Devon Thomas would be in the WI team, but he's too busy propping up the Yard.
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Not the best for me alone. Dujon said Hammie was by far the best keeper on display for the recently concluded Super50. Give Jack his Jacket.
Why you don't ask Courtney Browne why all the best players are Bajan picks? Dowrich really? The Man has iron gloves.
In reply to CricketLuva4
Devon is a hardheaded moron. He is not a better glovesman than Hammie. Not even a better bat.
In reply to voiceofreason
"Dowrich was picked by Courtney Browne"
Can u think of any similarities between the two?
In reply to tops
Browne dropped Steve Waugh and he scored a double ton and we lost the game and the series.
Browne probably saw the dropsy potential in Dowrich.
In reply to voiceofreason
you are a typical dottie
Hammie never dropped, and Ramdunce either?
In reply to tc1
Dude Dow cannot keep rich is just a shopkeeper. He is not even the first preference gloves man on the Bajan team so what is the fuss?
In reply to voiceofreason
While you focusing on dropsie, it is good to see we have a full time bowler, that is not hiding.
It is obvious to everyone, Holder has earned his selection.
In reply to voiceofreason
he keeps in the 4 days, you touting Hammie like he is not good keeper, he is avg just like Dowrich
In reply to openning
It is obvious to everyone one, Holder has earned his selection.
OUCH!!
Never seen you go for the jugular so quickly.
As much as I like Sammy...that is one stark thing you an contrast between Sammy and Holder...Holder steps up and Sammy stepped back in tough times.
But...I prefer to compare Holder and Smith (SA) at this juncture as young Captains appointed to lead their respective sides.
In reply to voiceofreason
My name is Jack and I got the Jacket...just put it on, you want to see how close it fit?
Chase to Mohammad Abbas, no run, missed stumping as Dowrich gets up way too early. In the end he just pads the ball away into the leg side and concedes a single
In reply to Runs
Ah dis keeper mek Bishoo nat bowling his googlies....
In reply to WestDem
WI fielding is mediocre, has been so throughout this series
Bishoo days looking numbered, Liberty CC will recruit in NY for curry goat
In reply to voiceofreason
Rather than always listening to people comments and take it for the bible, why don't you look at numbers and tell me how you arrive at any conclusion that Hammie better than Dorwich?
Hamilton!
Dorwich!
In reply to WestDem
Dude FYI we are talking about keeping not batting. Keeping first as we know every keeper drops one or misstumps every now and again but it is efficiency we are looking for.
Again I am no expert but Dujon is and he said Hammie is by far the best. Dow cannot catch rich should vie for a batting position.
In reply to openning
So Holder takes a couple wickets and gets some runs and is deemed all rounder. How many 5fers he has? How many centuries? What is his captaincy record? How many series has he won? Games with bat it ball?
Laughable. Sammy is a match winner. A World Cup winning captain ok. Legacy done set so take time and let Jason create his own legacy.
In reply to voiceofreason
yall supported Dowrich over Ramdin because of his potential with the bat, not his technical competence/superiority behind the stumps
wunnu want blood nah
In reply to doosra
Who is yall? I never supported that call. Don't mix me up. That youth is a shopkeeper long time. Ramdin is ineligible as he did not play R4D. Again Hamilton has performed well with the gloves and the bat at R4D and Ateam levels. He is the best eligible keeper in the region.
In reply to voiceofreason
I supported Sammy for the captain, Sammy cannot be carried Holder jack strap, if you such a man put up Sammy numbers in test cricket.
Your own board had Hammie as a reserved wk up to a year ago, he is an above avg , a boxer rather than a wk.
In reply to tc1
Holder is nothing special. He has some potential and seems morea batsman than a bowler. Again how many 5fers he has in test cricket?Centuries?
Hamilton was interchanged with Thomas up to two years ago. Hamilton has toured and performed well on numerous A team tours. He averaged 46.28 with the bat while Shane Dowrich averaged 13.71 this R4D. Use Sammy as an obfuscation if allyuh want but this is about the best option for wicktekeeper/batsman.
Dorwich kept like a man whose mind is elsewhere. Is he having problems at home? Nevertheless this team cannot afford such sloppy keeping.
Have Dujon talk to him for the rest of the match as a short term solution. Long term, get Hamilton into the squad to pressure him to improve.
If all of the above fails then it's bye bye and thank you for coming. Every successful cricket team has had a more than decent keeper. Dorwich's keeping is below test standard.
In reply to voiceofreason
every time you look here one is always reminded of Courtney Browne's drop off Steve Waugh, no one recalls his accomplishments...just that failure, now Dowrich is a target...someone who is doing quite well in Test cricket.
but who cares about Dowrich and wishing him a better day tomorrow after all that spot is need for Hamilton
In reply to hawk
As if this is the first time he has dropped catches or missed stumpings this series. Look don't start me Bro...I have been patient enough with the Shopkeeper.
In reply to voiceofreason
Oh please, go and bag it, Dowrich does not require your patience. The best keepers in the world drop catches and miss stumpings on occasion, the truth is Dowrich is yet to have a truly bad game
In reply to hawk
time fuh we to go alone, serious as Bustamante
In reply to voiceofreason
Sammy batting ave is 2pts higher than Bishoo, his bowling avg is 36+, Holder's batting is 10+ points higher than Sammy.By the time holder retired, he would be the 2nd best allrounder produce by the WI.
Hammy is an avg keeper just like Thomas, like Dowrich.
In reply to tc1
he just want a spot for Hamilton, so every fault will be found in Dowrich, no matter what he does
In reply to hawk
Not only Hammie, he wants a spot for Jumbo too, one bad game from Chase , he will be calling for Chase to be dropped.
If I was the coach, I would ask Shai to give up the gloves, he is too talented a batsman to be keeping.a decent slip fieldsman.
In reply to tc1
Hammy is not an average keeper so quit chatting tripe. Dujon endorsed his talent long time and not only but some of the English players were wondering how he could not make the team.
This is not about Sammy...His legacy done set in stone with two World Cup championships under his belt.
Allyuh Bajans too thin skinned and too bias to see Dowrich's obvious shortcomings. As usual allyuh will get unhinged. They kept out Ridley and Livingstone too so Hammie keep doing your thing. Don't be discouraged .
R4D season: Hamilton 46.92 Dowrich 13.71
In reply to voiceofreason
Can you list for us the number of times Sammy as third seamer bowled 30 Overs in a test inning or 10 overs in an ODI?
I've been writing about him being a Part timer for some tim, so it is pleasing to see, that slot is filled, by someone who plays his part as a bowler.
In reply to voiceofreason
Does that above data make sense to you, Dowrich won a match and drew one at test level and you quote Hammy best in 10 years.
I dare you to post Dowrich 4D and test, go ahead
In reply to openning
The title of this thread says Dowrich is a shopkeeper and so too is Hope. Please focus. Can you rebut that?
If you want to start another thread about Sammy don't let me hold you back. This thread is not for that.
In reply to voiceofreason
I have always said Hammie is the best Keeper! Dowrich is a solid batsman and has been doing an okay job with the gloves up to today. We were given a team I backed it. Hammie will get his chance!
In reply to voiceofreason
Base on what?
You've watching to much ABS radio commentary on Hamilton Keeping.
In reply to hawk
Dont take it so personal champ. I was talking to a chap who i normally view the games with, we were talking about Dowrich and the tough day he had. The hope was that he not let it affect his batting as we are going to need contributions from everyone. Knowing this board, you should have expected someone to bring up the Courtney Brown drop that took place a centuary ago. Anything else would not have been West Indian.

Two dropped catches and one missed stumping in one inning.
Wouldn't you call that a truly bad game?
In reply to NYCGURU
Jacobs was a shopkeeper of the highest order. Still though he fought like hell. Keepers do have bad days now and again. That is the nature of the beast.
In reply to seaegg99
bruh
that is made up
Jacobs was not a pretty keeper but he was very efficient
In reply to Drapsey
Batting to come to save the day.
In reply to seaegg99
Bullshit about Jacobs! He was not pretty but dam efficient! Far better than Courtney Browne.
In reply to voiceofreason
You trying to tell me you never seen Jacobs have a bad day behind the stumps. Not putting him down in any way. But then again your reply was expected.
In reply to voiceofreason
For once I agree with you
In reply to Drapsey
Indeed not... definately not a bad game...a bad day behind the stumps nothing more besides the game is far from over my friend.....far from over.
In reply to hawk & In reply to Drapsey
Nonsense... Bad day? He always makes errors every innings October 2016
Link Text
Even if he scores a 50 or a 100 its not worth his mistakes! His average is 30 but how much is he costing the bowlers and the team?
In reply to Starzz
you are arguing with a miss stumping from October 2016...weak very weak.......10 from 100 is the same as 1 from 10
leave the young man, if he fails often enough he lose his spot, right now his spot is not in question
were there errors in the last game?
In reply to voiceofreason
There is no data that indicates Jacobs were a better wk-kp that Browne, better batsman yes.
Test
Jacobs Games 65, catches 207 stp 12
Browne 20 catches 78 stp 2
Domestic
Jacobs 157 catches 445 stp 33
Browne 139 catches 439 stp 47
In reply to voiceofreason
Dow hundred tomorrow

what did i just read there?
In reply to doosra
u smart, figure it out
In reply to hawk
Did you even watch the first and second test match?
In those first two test match Dowrich costs windies 4 wickets!
ASAD SHAFIQ
SAFRAZ AHMED
MISBAH
MOHAMMED AMIR
Its okay for him to have bad days every tests match?
I posted that picture from oct 2016 just to highlight my point!
Every game in the last 7 tests I've watched he has made mistakes behind the stumps..
In reply to Starzz
no player is mistake free my friend, and this goes for every facet of the game, the young man is doing well in Test cricket, he needs to improve for sure like any other member of the team.
did he just make a mistake with that catch?
In reply to hawk
Again what game are you watching?
Just before that catch he watch a chance go between him and first slip.. that was his catch!
And right after was 5wides
In reply to Starzz
that was not a catch, the ball dropped short
In reply to Starzz
you catching at straws man
In reply to hawk
And that Mohammed Amir drop at 127/7?
Pakistan got to 149 added important runs that puts them in a position to win the match and series
Catching straws ok!
Ignore his errors
In reply to Starzz
We need a proper keeper in there in Hamilton. Let Dowrich fight for a batsman position. Even that right now heading south.
In reply to voiceofreason
Dowrich might be going south, but the baseball player is leading the pack.
In reply to tc1
The baseball player has been back for 6 innings. So I would cut him some slack ok Bage. I know you are very defensive when it comes to your homeboys but apply some reasoning. I have no issues with the baseball player being dropped but if we could persist with iron gloves Dowrich whey can we not persist with the Baseball player. Maybe Dowrich should take up baseball catching...One glove straight in...Straight out...
In reply to voiceofreason
you are one of the most narrow-minded people on this MB, if Hammie was that good a keeper, he would have been the leedots ball stopper over the last 5 years, but he is on the same level as the rest of keepers in the region.
What a narrow mind, you asking for some slack for your homie and you has never given anyone that flavor.
In reply to tc1
Thanks for the compliment. Now Hamilton was not made the Leewards 1st choice because of the same insularity that exists with Courtney Browne's affinity to Dowrich. Yes Leewards is merely a microcosm of West Indies Cricket.
He is the best glovesman and regardless what happens tomorrow tough decisions will have to be made regarding the wicketkeeping position. Dowrich is an embarrassment.
In reply to voiceofreason
In reply to voiceofreason
you are one of the most narrow-minded people on this MB,
At least he didn't call you racist...as he does to ALL indo muddie posters who call out any bajan players..
This skunt from his postings does not live in Bim...and is about 80 years old
Why can't an Indo poster call out any player without being accused of being racist?
In reply to Narper
Your own muddies called you and other like you a racist. if did not say it, they did
In reply to tc1
It's a distraction. They cried hard for muddie batsmen to get a look in and one by one they failed:Chandrika, Johnson, hetmeyer and singh. So all this anti Bajan talk is to take the spotlight of thw muddie superbats
In reply to voiceofreason
Tuff luck Shane is not going away in any hurry
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Bajans on this MB scarcely voice they opinion on players, there are more reserved, more like Ronnie king can we all get along, but someone has to defend the attacks by the mob
In reply to tc1
Your own muddies called you and other like you a racist. if did not say it, they did
If you are man ....NAME THEM
I know ..Pullo is one.....he looks into his mirror and believes everyone is like him

And why not...if muddies perform they should get a LOOK IN....Why effin not?
And why allyuh insular SKUNTS can't call out alyuh own bajans who are shitting on their tail too?????
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
So, Dowrich should stay, despite his deteriorating batting and keeping....
I hope either Hamilton or Ambris also make the tour to England, because Dowrich does not instill me with any confidence.
In reply to mikesiva
Hamilton will get his chance at some point. Before when Ramdin was the first choice, Baugh and Patrick Browne played.
Keeperbatsman , batsman keeper any why you dice it Dowrich was poor in this series.
