That was me in the early days of Shai's Test career....

Look the guy is an aggressive batsmen and a successful leader and deserves to be fast tracked after winning the U-19 World Cup.Problem is putting him in a Test match to bat at 3, which is one of the most important positions for the team, was probably not the right call.I Hope he is not discarded after these Tests. I reiterate he should have been playing ODI or batting later in the Tests at least, maybe 5/6

I think that is fair since this is his third test.Its a big jump up in class for the youngster, but i have a sneaky feeling he is going to come good and make us proud.

Right on the money. Number 3 and 4 are the two most important position in the order and you should have your two best batsman there. But we have some selectors who either lack common sense or just like to do things the hard way. Hety style of batting is not suitable for a number 3 in our batting order. He don't stay in the wicket long enough to be a number 3 or 4. Let him bat down the road till he show that he can consistently bat a long innings. real talk.
