Batsmen..has coincided with the "rise" / dominance of regional spinners.
My belief...the pitches
The pitches kill fast bowlers..as a result..our batsmen are clueless whn faced with real quick bowling.
When facing fast bowlers who have been working on their craft on decent pitches.
Since the mid 90s, we have consistently been 3 done for spit.
What could possibly be the cause of this?

Yeah..cos when the biggest challenge you face is an ordinary bowler like Nikita or Benn..on a rubbish pitch.
Real spinners can be a challenge.

Mental strength is needed for those with the skill and talent....that's all....
Blame video games, smart phone and internet....the brain was not built for multitasking of this nature....
especially for the batsmen...one mistake and dem in de pavillion
Succesful batsmen will tell you, you can only be successful at the crease with an uncluttered mind...

I dunno..this is no longer cyclical..we've always had cycles of success then failure..WI cricketing is spiraling..
But thats a good point..these youngsters just a bunch of pu$$ies then is all
