When identifying potential replacements, we need to remember two facts:
1) Tour of England: August 1 - September 29
2) CPL: August 4 - September 9
Any player selected to play in the CPL will probably NOT give up their place to play Test cricket in England. That includes....
1) Chris Gayle
2) Evin Lewis
3) Lendl Simmons
4) Rovman Powell
5) Kieron Pollard
6) Ravi Rampaul
7) Raymon Reifer
8 ) Damion Jacobs
9) Chadwick Walton
10) Veerasammy Permaul
11) Jason Mohammed
12) Keon Joseph
13) Shimron Hetmyer
14) Carlos Brathwaite
15) Jerome Taylor
16) Marlon Samuels
17) Rahkeem Cornwall
18 ) Sunil Narine
19) Denesh Ramdin
20) Darren Bravo
Kieron Powell and Alzarri Joseph are in the St Kitts squad. Will they pull out?

Players unavailable for Tests in England
CPL.... doesnt WICB have some control over it?
In reply to mikesiva
Once selected the player would have little choice
In reply to mikesiva
contracted players are not on any franchise
Would any of the other nations tour during their 20/20 tournament thus depriving their players the opportunity to earn some coin?
Would players not playing CPL be eligible for WI T20 internationals?
In reply to rubberd
Once they are on international duty or injured, yes.
Pollard and Samuels come to mind

Kmt
Wasted post.
None of those were going to be in the test squad anyways
Although Roach Bravo and Evin should be there
In reply to mikesiva
The champions trophy is making us tour England later than usual
In reply to mikesiva
WI going to England? More licks on the way
In reply to DIEHARD
Powell?
Alzarri?
Forcing players to choose tests over the CPL will create the usual miserable environment on an England tour.
