HEADLINE: BCCI miffed by WICB lack of support on ICC votes

NEW DELHI, India (CMC) — Factions of the Board of Control for Cricket India (BCCI) want pressure brought to bear on the West Indies Cricket Board for its lack of support in the recent vote regarding the International Cricket Council's new governance structure and revenue-sharing model. At an ICC Board meeting in Dubai last month, the BCCI found itself standing alone as nine other countries voted in support of the governance structure. On the contentious revenue sharing model, India found support only from the Sri Lankan Board, as they lost 8-2 on vote.

Sections of the BCCI now want Joint Secretary Amitabh Chaudhary to speak to WICB President Dave Cameron about the recent ICC votes, as there is a belief the Caribbean board was not held accountable enough for the decision of the one-day side to abruptly abandon the tour here three years ago.

So it only confirms what what we already knew:

1. The BCCI went easy on Cameron and the WICBC in exchange for their future votes at the ICC
2. The BCCI has no morals no ethics and they played politics at a level detrimental to world cricket and
Indian Cricket. They have no shame and a bent hell on destroying the game.

It is amusing that the BCCI would trust the WI President to keep any agreements or promises. BCCI keep on dreaming, Cameron only knows one mode of operation and that is, look out for thyself.

BCCI should take its licks and chill. They should know that WICB went with the "Big 3" because Australia and England were in it.

WICB left along with CA and ECB for this new "arrangement". WICB has been and continues to be a ECB and CA slave..

Yes, the BCCI are hell bent on destroying the one sport Indians love and excel at. Why don't you drive your truck through Trini Carnival one day.

The BCCI is miffed because the WICB has always supported India in things of this nature, so for the WICB to take a different stance now is really troubling to the BCCI, the WICB and the BCCI really do go back a long way, but like his hero, Orange and Lemon, BI has found a way to break it up. the BCCI went easy on BI because of the close relationship the two boards always had........just sayin'

Good commentary, cherri.

I just wonder though, what the commentary (not necessarily from you) would've been if the BIG IDIOT had sided with the BCCI.

Is that the reason Cable & Wireless (alias LIME) no longer in business?

If so, then the BIG IDIOT is a lot more powerful than we ever imagined. People should bow/salute in his presence.

Look , if Guests came to your Country , and then cancelled the Tour , because they bluntly refused to try salvaging the Tour , and that cost You millions of dollars in various forms of Revenue ; and the matter was settled amicable .

YOU would expect that they would have your support in all Cricket matters . Evidently
the Members of the Worst International Cricket Board in the Commonwealth aka the
WICBC ; or as they now prefer to be called
, CWI , aka Cricket Worst Idiots .

However that aint on the agenda of the CWI
one of these fine days , they will want the support of the BCCI , and their recent
actions will come back to haunt them .

Point are you suggesting that WICB should have kissed BCCI's boots for the near future even if it meant hurting their own future growth prospects and putting less ICC revenue into their own hands?

BCCI may have the right to feel aggrieved at a lack of support from WICB, but their demands to retain such a huge chunk of the economic pie are ridiculous and would only serve to centralize the game in one region of the globe.

In reply to Tryangle

I am stating that the BCCI could have sued the WICBC and extracted millions of dollars from the Worst International Cricket Board in the Commonwealth .

THE FREAKING FACT IS THAT THE WICBC

MADE ABSOLUTELY NO ATTEMPT TO SALVAGE

THE TOUR , BY NOT DOING THAT ; THE

WICBC PLACED ITSELF , IN MY OPINION

IN A VERY PRECARIOUS POSITION WITH

REGARD TO THIS MATTER FROM A LEGAL

PERSPECTIVE .

As I have already stated the BCCI lost a lot of money . Now this is a
fact , not fiction . Obviously then
the WICBC was & is indebted to the
BCCI .

The BCCI therefore expected the WICBC to vote for it . The fact that the WICBC did not do that , means that it
has probably worn out its friendship with the BCCI .
