Finally a team with deserving players. Brathwaite does take his share of wickets in this format and the fast 20 runs down the order will be gold. Beaton has been good in CPL. Evin Lewis earn his pick from Pak series. Mohammed in form of life. We all know about Narine and Pollard's exploit. Rovman is a good prospect. Samuels 2 time world T20 winner, big knocks. Simmons is a T20 boss. Walton has been good for jamaica in CPL and so has williams. Windies can get more value out of Fidel Edwards as a T20 bowler than Jerome Taylor though in my opinion. Edwards was magnificent for souks a season back. Slingy action at the death is gold!

Gabriel rested too or what?

On the inclusion of fast bowler, Ronsford Beaton: Our Head Coach, Stuart Law, has asked for someone who can add some firepower to the attack. We felt that Ronsford has shown he can bowl with sustained pace in T20 cricket. We are confident he will do very well.

Holder can't make a best windies T20 team, so right fully out. Seems like them boys eventually catching them senses at the selection table. I figure Johnson Charles a lil hard done though, has been magnificent in CPL and then in Florida for Windies. Last tour of windies in UAE wasn't good but who had a good one?

And I think with Gayle out the side, windies really need to start using Lendl Simmons as an opener where he has had soooooo much success in T20 for all his franchise. But anyways, with a not so hot middle order, he'll provide good stability.

They can get that from Sheldon Cottrell. He, I think, wasn't doing bad for his team, either last year or the year b4.

Overall outlook for the series: In developing a high performance unit there is never room for complacency and our expectation is to win against a team that is ranked lower than us in the ICC rankings.

Dem better beat de Afghans Brung...

me can't tek more shame here in Toronto...where de bangla bwoys have become so cocky...couldn't now tek dat from de Afghans smile

Looks like everyone in the Windies is on one team or the other. Law asks and Law gets. I like it.

All three t20s at one venue.
rolleyes
It would be better to have two t20s in st kitts then a T20i and an odi in st Lucia then the remaining odis at somewhere else.

Spread it around.

Kay 2017-05-20 14:16:08

As long as Carlos 'barely get a game in the IPL' Brathwaite remains captain, WI are doomed.

The WI T20 team should include and be captained by someone like DJ Bravo, Pollard or Marlon Samuels......men who have talent and delivered all over the World.

Slipfeeler 2017-05-21 01:17:40

Because despite winning the World Cup we are slipping in ranking and need to shore up our position by not just winning but dominating / white washing the Afghans.

We just lost to Pakistan. Did these men deliver? How did they perform relative to Carlos? Pollard was looking so inept, that some MBers were not expecting to see him again.
