LONDON, England (CMC) – Sussex skipper Chris Nash has hailed seamer Jofra Archer as among the best in the country at present, following the Barbadian’s outstanding maiden 10-wicket haul against Leicestershire in the English County Championship on Sunday.
Archer snatched six for 70 as the hosts were dismissed for 175 in their second innings at Grace Road, leaving Sussex with a target of 232 for victory.
Luke Wells then struck an unbeaten 90 yesterday as the visitors got home by five wickets to register their second straight win in Division Two.
However, the foundation was laid by the 22-year-old Archer who ended the contest with match figures of 11 for 137 following his five-wicket haul in Leicestershire’s first innings.
“From looking at what we’ve seen over the last two months, he’s one of the best you’re seeing,” Nash beamed.
“I think the way he does it is one of the really interesting bits. He bowled 50 overs in the game and didn’t even sweat.”
He continued: “He’s a top man. The way he’s playing at the moment is as good as anyone in the country. The pace he bowls and how he keeps coming back and back and back is great.

BarbadianArcher

Long first or last name BarbadianArcher..

...is our CEO looking to find ways to bring Jofra back home to play for the West Indies?

POINT 2017-06-13 07:27:15

So why would he want to return , to be treated by like a Serf by the Emperors .
LOOK THE BIG IDIOTS NEED TO FOSTER A

MUCH BETTER RELATIONSHIP WITH ALL

PLAYERS IF THEY INTEND TO IMPROVE

CRICKET IN THE REGION .

The fact that they are in the governance of Cricket in the Region
does not mean that they have to continuously behave like JACKASSES .

Honestly, if Jofra Archer knows what's good for him he will stay far away from the dinosaur (waste indeed cricket). The only way he should even consider returning, if Barbados decide to do the wise thing and go it alone, as all the regions should do.

The following headline is misleading

Barbadian hailed as one of the best

Then you read the following and the meaning is completely different.
The way he’s playing at the moment is as good as anyone in the country

Jofra is a nice lad and has a full time job with Sussex and a mentor in Chris Jordan..

I watched him last year in Cardiff and had a chat with his Dad , who told me he is from Liverpool...his mother may be a bajan but Jofra is a British citizen and resident ...

He is an enormous talent....much better than any 22 year old I have seen in the Caribbean and improving rapidly...his first class batting average this season is over 35 and he has 35 wickets at 23...in a team with Vernon philander and chris Jordan its surprising joffra is leading the attack.

He is Bajan on and raised.

I am a close personal friend with his stpdad,
who guided his carer.

His stepdad used to forgo several events
to watch the youth play.

He also trained him and encouraged
him when he had the injured back.

His blood father is British, herego
he has the requisite British rights.

Forget Wondies, he will play for Hingland.

He made the Hingland team against Paks
last year and had a Match 5-fa. 3 & 2.

He is not a bowler, but a genuine allrounder.

Sussex has him bating at 10
but he is a high order batsman.

He will play for Hingland this year.
Watch him against the touring Woundies.
Even if it is in the Second 11, like last year.
