...is a worrying trend.

Why can't politicians debate the issues and offer solutions to the myriad of socio-economic problems. Some politicians even seem to express delight when their countries are beset by natural disasters which cause catastrophes.

Do they really care about the people or is it part of their party's charade and road map in their power grabbing attempt?

That seems to be the nature of modern politics, in most parts of the world, as it has noticeably seeped into so-called democracies.

It's all about partisanship and division. It's not what good policies one party has for the whole, but more and more for its rabid base.
