If you are not move by one, if not both of the these pieces played, you are emotionally dead.

Each has its own emotional riser, but the second brings a different kind of the emotion to the surface, especially that rolling thunderous ending, eased by the softest of touches to let you down gently to breathe.

Thanks for the Video , I am a great fan of Bossa Nova Music , and Oscar Peterson is a Canadian , I have a Cassette OF Him playing Bossa Nova music , that was in the days when there were no CDS or DVDS .

Both are Canadians. Both grew up in the same black area in Montreal. One of Oscar's sisters was Oliver's second piano teacher. Oliver started playing in public at age of five.

Oscar's parents from the British Virgin Island; Oliver's from Barbados. He a paternal cousin.

The Clan started immigrating to Canada in the 1890s, I being the last to Canada via NewYork, my original destination to be with another Canadian cousin.

Thanks for the Information . Louis Armstrong had a concert in Barbados ;
at the Kensington Oval . HE & his Band
were en route to Europe .

I was living in Bim at the time and went to that Concert . My introduction to Jazz was listening to a Program
hosted by Willis Cornova , who died
in around 1966 .

His Program came from the American Radio Station in Chagauramas , Trinidad , when they had a Base there . Every night from 9-11 there was Jazz , the first hour featured Singers , Nat King Cole ; Sinatra ;
Tony Bennett etc ; Sarah Vaughn , Ella
Fitzgerald , etc .

The Second hour was devoted to Instrumental Jazz , Duke Ellington ;
Count Basie ; Harry James etc.
So when I went to New York , one day
I picked up the NY Times , and on the front page was a picture of Willis Cornova who had died .

I have seen some of the greats live ,
Duke Ellington ; Etta James ; Sarah Vaughan ; Nancy Wilson etc . One day
during the regular lunch hour 12-1.00 I saw that the Mills Brothers were going to play at one of the Plazas in NYC . So I saw them ,for the first time and was astounded to see that they were African Americans .
In NYC , the City Planning Dept , has
an ordinance that states that Builders of Skyscrapers can go very high if in their Architectural Plans
they have Set Backs or Plazas . Sometimes Artists perform at these Plazas .

Is Oliver still alive ?? and do You know him personally ?? When I was in Barbados , there was a woman who lived in the House that was behind where I was staying , she said that Sara Vaughan was her niece .
