If the correct teams are selected the WI can still be competitive and even beat high ranking teams. Not sure if CWI is aware of this fact or they would have done everything possible to ensure that WI always play with the strongest team, including all available players, experienced and young talented players.

Yesterday's massive win rejected all the erroneous proponents that not having experienced players or your best players on the WI team makes no difference to performance or outcome! Shuts that theory down in a hurry!

I don't think CWI cared about the outcome in the 1-day series. Deep down they knew they didn't have a chance without the best available players.
More important were the financial considerations...especially considering the huge debt owed to the BCCI...
