Robert Mueller?s Investigation

nitro 2017-07-11 16:45:00

Collusion has nothing to do with elections and political campaigns. Which renders special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation meaningless. He is tasked with finding a crime that does not exist in the law. It is a legal impossibility.

So F.Lee Nitro ....would you kindly explain to us hoi polloi what exactly collusion has to do with.

nitro 2017-07-11 16:58:07

In reply to JohnBull
It exists only in anti-trust laws which forbid price fixing and other anti-competitive activities under Section 1 of the Sherman Antitrust Act.

Call it what you want, this statute says he is in violation of the law.

Is information, by itself, a “thing of value?” One could attempt to make that argument, but it has never been interpreted that way.

Moreover, campaign election laws are rarely the subject of criminal prosecutions. The vast majority of cases are civil violations resulting in fines. But again, both Trump Jr. and the Russian lawyer agree that no information related to the presidential campaign was conveyed. If true, this statute is inapplicable.

Absolutely.

Difficult to prove especially in this high stakes scenario.

Additionally nothing worthwhile was said to have bee provided.

If Bill Clinton was not impeached, Trump will not.

He will not resign either.

Are you that naive? Do you expect him to tell the truth?

Bill Clinton was impeached, he was not convicted in the Senate. A conviction would have meant removal from office.

nitro 2017-07-11 17:44:45

Not saying he is telling the truth but will be difficult to prove.

nitro 2017-07-11 17:45:32

Ok. That's what I meant, no conviction.

A Republican said on Fox that gathering information from a foreign source is permissible. Unwise and ill-advised, yes. Illegal, no.

Republicans control the arms of government and will dismantle a weak DNC next year again.

Trump is safe.

*** The legal headaches:

1. "Russia if you are listening, you should hack her emails" LINK
2. numerous contacts between Trump campaign officials and the Russians
3. Allowing National Security Adviser to have access to all US intelligence for a full 18 days after being informed that he was compromised by the Russians.
4. Trump associates both before and after the campaign have engaged in multiple contacts with the Russians and have lied about those contacts.
5. Trump associates both before and after the election were being paid by Russian interests

*** Questionable acts but "legally facilitated"
6. Firing FBI Director James Comey specifically because he was investigating Trump’s and his administration’s Russian connections.
7. Demanding loyalty from the FBI Director who is investigating Trump’s and his administration’s Russian connections.
8. Asking the FBI Director to shut down the investigation of NSA Michael Flynn.
9. Firing acting Attorney General Sally Yates after she reported her investigation had shown NSA Flynn had engaged in potentially criminal behavior in his contacts with the Russians and then lied about it, potentially lying about it to the FBI.
10. Firing US Attorney Preet Bharara who was looking into possible use of Trump’ real estate deals as a vehicle for Russian money-laundering.

*** Runner ups for "enrichment of the year awards":
1. Trump’s near constant use of his personal properties at Trump Tower and in Florida and New Jersey amount to the abuse of the “domestic emoluments clause” which prohibits the President from receiving additional compensation beyond his salary.
2. Using government officials and agencies to promote his and his family’s business, such as having the State Department promote Mar-a-Lago as a vacation destination and promote Ivanka Trump’s book.
3. Allowing his family to serve as White House advisers and sit in with foreign leaders when those family members have business interests in those countries.

Do you want the investigation to stop just because you see no conviction, collusion or impeachment?

why you so worried? let the investigation go thru and lets see the results.

you sound like you have a deep fear when the shit hits the fan!

Let's see....an FBI director and Nat'l Security Advisor were fired over this "meaningless-ness." AG Sessions forced to recuse himself and answered ambiguously when testifying under oath...

all this over nothing?

YOU have been seriously misinformed ,
let me refresh your Memory :

THE IMPEACHMENT OF PRESIDENT CLINTON

WAS ABOUT THE WHITE WATER MATTER ;

HE WAS NAILED BECAUSE HIS SEMEN WAS

ON THE BLUE DRESS OF MONICA

LEWINSKY'S BLUE DRESS .

LET ME BE VERY CLEAR MUELLER HAS

LARGE TENTACLES AND IS EMPOWERED TO

INVESTIGATE ANYTHING THAT HAS TO DO

WITH THE RUSSIANS , COLLUSION ;

OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE , REGARDING

ATTEMPTS TO COVER UP THE COLLUSION ;

THE FIRING OF COMEY ; RUSSIAN MONEY

IN THE USA ; SALES OF BUILDINGS ;

THE HACKING INTO CLINTON'S CAMPAIGN

HEADQUARTERS ; IT WILL EVEN LOOK INTO

THE FIRING OF PREET BARHAS BY TRUMP .

Frankly in my opinion , everything
that Trump has done or did not do
is going to be scrutinized by Mueller ..
My take is that this is not going to
conclude until sometime next year .
SO STAY TUNED .

cool
