They wiped the slate clean.
That is good people skills management. The hard line approach made no sense when your product is what people want.
No cricket fan wants to see administrators working in their offices or wants to see administrators on TV. Fans want to see the best cricketers on the field of play.

If a guy brought you not ONE but TWO world cups as captain, don't you think that would be enough to justify his inclusion one last time and use him to impart some knowledge on Carlos?
Look at the help Carlos got from Pollard in the last T20.

What! U mad? U would revive an entire cottage industry of Sammy detractors who only fell in love with Sammy because of 20 secs of airtime after a worldcup win. You cant do that to those people. No way.
