Mark Nicholas on Amla
Always his mind has overcome. It is strong, it is calm, it is clear. He listened to sensible criticism and made adjustments. Humility provided the foundation for an ambitious sportsman, aware that other opinions had a contribution to make. He retained his resilient inner self while recognising the need for learning and then he branched out to bat as if on another planet.
is he done...?

So it does not matter what the diminutive sicko says about Amla being "an incredibly mediocre batsman?"

Beardman is class...for years now...in all formats too.
In reply to Narper
His stats were plastered across the screen so that any sicko can view them. And aren't they world class no matter how you rotate them?

Amla is a great batsman
I thought a 50 average was required in order to be considered a great Test batsman.
A great test batsman = One who has scored a triple test century and averages no less than 49.44 in test cricket...it's also a plus when he averages more than the yardstick for greatness, Virat Kohli, in test cricket.
Amla is a boss .... great indeed!!!

He averages 49.43, and I'm not sure when I said that Kohli is a great Test batsman.
Kohli is simply the greatest allround batsman of all time.
Already in the top 10 for most centuries scored.
And out of the top 39, he is the only one who averages above 50, in fact, he averages 52.73.
#40 is Bradman, but Bradman only played Test cricket, and that was against one team.

My impeccable source says Amla's test ave is 49.44...and higher than Kohli.
Please provide the link or official stats page which says Kohli's test average is 52.73.
But that's besides the point,...do these stats take Hashim Amla into the realm of "an incredibly mediocre batsman?"
...............................................
What does that mean?...please expand especially if you can provide the criteria used for your evaluation and details of each weighting and the reason why each criterion is weighted this way.
Justification please.

Your links above are for Virat Kohli's combined formats record and the other is Hashim Amla's test average record.
Don't attempt to pull wool over my eyes, it will not work...my definition was repeat:
A great test batsman = One who has scored a triple test century and averages no less than 49.44 in test cricket...it's also a plus when he averages more than the yardstick for greatness, Virat Kohli, in test cricket.
And my response above was in answer to this post from you which directly preceded my post:

So you posted Hashim Amla's test average but Virat Kohli's combined formats average.
See why I concluded that you are a sicko.
