If Congress Gets Their Way – It’ll be Goodbye to Kaspersky Labs

In May of 2017, Florida Senator, Marco Rubio, questioned the Senate Intelligence Committee on their willingness to use Kaspersky Labs on their devices. The consensus was an overwhelming no.

Since May, the U.S. government has been working diligently to create a bill that would prevent the U.S. military from using Kaspersky security programs on any of their devices. Currently, legislation has passed both the House of Representatives and Senate Armed Service Committees preventing the use of Kaspersky on military devices; however, it still needs to be implemented into law.

It is likely, if the U.S. government bans the use of Kaspersky, several other American users will do the same. This would lead to a massive plummet in Kaspersky Labs’ revenues, considering approximately 60% of their sales are from the U.S.

Time for the Russians to pull the plug on use of their Rockets by the US space programme.

Vladimir needs to step up....

and by time next winter come around send its gas to more friendly parts.

The US does not need Russian rockets. This is just a means to an end.
There are alternatives you know. Do some research.

Developement integration and reliability of a US liquid propellant rocket is years away. One of the main factors is cost....the US product must have high profit for its manufacturers. So fromthe get go ...its not competing with the cheqp efficent russian product.

Mc cain is one of the main adbvocates for banning the russian product...he is seeking his buddy manufacturers interest. On the other side are us interests who profit from the current russian arrangement..profits..so its a tug of war.

Agreed on both counts.

Russia needs the money from this arrangement, so they are not goin to pull the plug unless there is a full scale war between the nations.

While it is more costly for the US that does not mean there are not alternatives:
Delta IV, Pegasus and SpaceX Falcon are among the ones readily available.

readily available yes...but their reliability is not proven and that's the crunch.
