Tropical Weather Outlook
NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL
200 AM EDT Mon Jul 17 2017
For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:
1. A small low pressure system located about 800 miles east of the
Windward Islands is moving westward at about 15 mph. Associated
shower and thunderstorm activity is beginning to show some signs
of organization, and environmental conditions are forecast to be
marginally conducive for some development of this system before it
reaches the Lesser Antilles in two to three days. After that time,
less favorable upper-level winds are expected to hinder additional
development. An Air Force Reserve reconnaissance aircraft is
scheduled to investigate the disturbance this afternoon, if
necessary.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...40 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...50 percent.
2. An area of disturbed weather has developed several hundred miles
west-southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands. Some development of
this system is possible over the next several days while it moves
slowly toward the west-northwest or northwest over the open Atlantic
Ocean.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...low...20 percent.

early model
Not sure conditions favour much development. We'll see. I'd worry more about the one behind
In reply to Chrissy
Dat one shud take a more north westerly path
Thanks Chrissy!
Another low rolling system. If this trend continues, the southern Caribbean/Windward Islands may be in for a rough season.
Keeping both eyes on this one.
In reply to pelon
Word is it will be TS Don in a short while - Bim should watch too.

Looks like Don could be a Cat1 by landfall
In reply to Chrissy
Wowser. And this is just July.
In reply to dale_staple
Word is it will self destruct before reaching our way.
As I posted from Masters this is the first time in recorded history that the Windward islands face two storms before August.
Don running into shear - the good news is he's running faster than Trump runs his mouth 18mph. Should be serious but fast moving rain particularly in Grenada, Vincey and the Grenadines, and some in Bim and Lucia.
Hurricane strength looking unlikely now.
Don has tiny hands
In reply to Chrissy
Stay safe all my friends in bequia particularly everyone at the whaleboner.
In reply to mikesiva
Mostly rain. He's also moving fast 20mph
In reply to Chrissy
The Southern Grenadines - Canouan ; Mayero ; Union Island; Palm Island; Petite St. Vincent ; the Tobago Cays ; Petite Martinique ; Carriacou & Grenada are all possibly in the Path of Don .
The last I heard the highest Winds are
expected to be around 73 miles an hour . It is expected that the other weather Pattern to be destroyed by Wind Shear in the middle of the Atlantic .
In reply to POINT
In the middle of the Caribbean - this won't reach back into the Atlantic
In reply to Chrissy
You are so inefficient on the uptake. You must get an immediate overhaul. Old Toyota cars need this.

Tks...but please develop the art of reading and understanding what you read...or is it senility creeping in?
In reply to Chrissy
Chrissy ,
It was not your fault , in my haste
I did not make a Paragraph for the
Other Weather Pattern , which is the One that will be broken up by Wind Shear ; hence your belief that I was still referring to Tropical Storm Don .
My Apologies .

How else do you want the two geriatric MB residents to react? It's called the lean on me factor.
I'll pay a fortune that I don't have to see them cuddle each other.
In reply to Chrissy
I read this morning that at 11.00 pm
last night the Tropical Storm Warning
was discontinued .
Regarding Grenada and its Grenadines ,Petite Martinique & Carriacou I have no information .
My source is iwnsvg news , an online
Newspaper in SVG .
In reply to POINT
No problem bro - I am aware that 96L won't be a Caribbean problem
In reply to nitro
To be kind you're not in Point's league - you're a self-hating licky licky right wing moron.
In reply to nitro
Do you want to be in POINT's league and give the reason(s) for your answer?
You may wish to have a chat with openning before you venture to answer.
