Cricket Money Problem Killing the Game

and I'm not talking about IPL and T20 leagues

Evenly matched teams like Bangladesh, WI, Zimbabwe and SL should be encouraged to play each other more which can result in great test and ODIs. More competitive than big series. unfortunately not a lot of money to be made in these series so it doesnt happen as often.

Give the series some context, some meaning, something for players and fans to rally behind. The age of bilateral tours is diminishing and rightly so.

CWI has alienated its fans and sponsors hence empty stands at grounds and foreign brands. The advent of television money has been good for the game but empty stands is not attractive to brands, a perception of lack of customer support/interest does not encourage sponsors.

Yep...

we are using the same old system we have and expecting better results.

Maybe set up an East / West test league and split the teams up... winners of east play west for the ICC Test Cup on a three year cycle.

In between those games the countries who want to play bilateral can schedule in games also.

This may be an option which can excite fans a bit more.

Sports are moving to have the best teams compete more regularly, it seems the ICC would like to hold more world cups.
The concept of elite teams is fast becoming the norm.
Elite teams means competitive salaries for elite players.
CWI needs to get out of the dark ages as evident by reduction in match fees.

It is about the product nothing else matters, people want to see the best.

It about time that CWI have an all star tour to promote emerging players and raise some revenue.

CWI gats over 45 people at its headquarters and pays over US 2.2 million per year in salaries etc.

Players are paid approx 3.2 Million US dollars per year.

If CWI is marketed properly it can bring in over US 5 million in merchandise sales.

What are 45 people doing at CWI ?.

Anyhow they don't need to worry soon the ICC will give them over 140 million US dollars per year.

In this very Forum I have stated
more than once that the WICBC /CWI is Top Heavy , never mind the fact that some say I keep repeating myself .

That maybe true , however I want to sear it in the minds of those who are
in this Forum . The Emperor & his Minions are searing our minds with
Mediocrity , and MalAdministration I
don't hear my critics complaining about the Maladministration of West
Indies Cricket .
