Garth Wattley On Cameron- Muted Criticism Still

Okay, so he wrote a better article this time, but still- he is falling for the trap- by not calling for the head of Cameron-by not calling for the dismantling of the WICBC- he is unwittingly giving them a life line-

Some have been caused by his own actions, for instance, the just-ended standoff with Darren Bravo. That had its genesis in erroneous comments by Cameron about the grade of contracts previously issued to the player. At other times, he has worsened rather than quelled conflict, like in 2014 when the One-Day team withdrew from the tour of India over a contracts issue that was initially between the players and their association.
So much trouble has flowed from the mishandling of that situation, that it is not stretching the point to say that the absence of the most established West Indies players from One-Day and even Test duty over the last four years can be traced back to the attitude Cameron and his Cricket West Indies colleagues adopted to the “rebels” since then.

I am of the opinion that Prime Minister Rowley has standing in the Court , regarding his belief that the
WICBC /CWI must be removed from the
governance of Cricket in the Region .

If PM. Rowley gets his day in Court ,
there is no doubt in my mind that He
will prevail . This then in my
opinion will have very serious implications for all Cricket Boards in Cricket playing Countries in the Commonwealth .

My perspective is that their perceived Power will be dealt a very serious blow . It would ultimately lead to Players directly suing Cricket Boards , and as a result ,
the power that Cricket Boards currently enjoy will be diminished ;
how much ???

Time will Tell ; All this because
Cricket Boards perceive themselves to
be Emperors , with unquestionable Power . My perception is that this has made them Arrogant ; Dictatorial and heavy handed . Exuding to All
& Sundry that THEY ARE ALWAYS RIGHT .

Caricom can do this

The stakeholders through Parliament has given CWI tax free status and other benefits, etc

One stakeholder or Government take CWI to court to find out who owns Cricket in the Caribbean and CWI.

When such brief is presented to a Court and decision made, each stakeholder goes back to Parliament and amend the Tax free status etc to include this Court decision.

The Court decision now enforceable.

This takes Balls CARICOM and not words.

I hear You . My belief is that once
PM. Rowley takes the WICBC / CWI to Court , the floodgates will open , not
only for the Governments in the Region , but also for the Players , Individually & Collectively .

The catalyst for all this is the Autocratic behaviour of the Worst International Cricket Board in the Commonwealth . This reminds me of the adage :

" POWER CORRUPTS , AND ABSOLUTE

POWER CORRUPTS ABSOLUTELY ".

Notice how the ICC who once stated they didn't want Governments involved in Cricket, now sitting silently as BCCI is dragged over coals by India's Supreme Court.

All it would take is the Supreme Court in India to hold BCCI for contempt, ignoring its directive and send one of BCCI administrators to Jail.

Other Cricket Boards are watching the developments in India
closely.

I knew that years ago . Wikipedia is a
wonderful tool . Some years ago I decided to check on the formation of International Cricket Boards .

This is after being brainwashed by the
dictates of the ICC & the Worst International Cricket Board in the Commonwealth .

As I have stated several times here I
was absolutely astounded to learn that the President of Pakistan on 4
Separate occasions fired the PCB , and appointed news Members to the PCB.

The ICC to my knowledge stated nary a
word about banning Pakistan etc . Now
I gleaned this information after having read that the ICC pronounced
that :

GOVERNMENTS MUST NOT

INTERVENE IN CRICKET .

Then the Government of Guyana took the GCB to Court , at the Trial I
expected to see and hear the ICC &
the WICBC appearing on behalf of the
GCB . There was no brief from either
of them .

What happened in Pakistan & in Guyana
informed me that the ICC is akin to a Toothless Tiger . I was therefore not
surprised when the India Supreme Court Judges were verbally very harsh
to Officials of the BCCI in Court .

So WE now are well aware that the ICC
is powerless when matters pertaining
to Cricket are in the Courts , the ICC is essentially ALL BARK BUT NO
FREAKING BITE .

So when PM. Rowley takes the WICBC/CWI to Court , the ICC is not going to put in an appearance on behalf of the WICBC/CWI .

I have no doubt that what transpired in India is going to have some impact in the case if PM. Rowley follows through on taking the WICBC/CWI to
Court .

Whatever happened to that 'celebrated' writer, Dr. Hinds? He usually tables lots of criticism for the Camerons of the world, but must've found better use of his time, being of the PhD. kind and all.

Or is it a case of "if you can't beat them, join them"? Maybe his PhD. has served him well.
