Correlation of Poor Test, ODI Selectee and Wage

Slipfeeler 2017-07-19 09:27:42

Maybe CWI selecting players that they can only afford to pay with poorer wages than even CPL. I suggest that they start paying players by performance which could save them money for most of the Test and ODI players are underperformers. The experience players are now available but CWI is persisting with the young underperformers, due to financial considerations.

This is shortsighted as experienced and our better players will attract more fans, more competitiveness more funding from ICC and more gate receipts.

Law of demand and supply, large supply of cheap wage earners but are poor cricketers, so do we persist with them or pay more for better quality players?

It was obviously a long term plan meant to expand the talent pool.

Poorly thought out and implemented.

Nothing has really been done to improve the quality of the talent pool, and they are also unable to retain those players that will emerge from regional cricket and attract greater wages.

I suspect this is the usual Dave 3 card trick, fork up the greater good for his personal gain, he's a scoundrel and a scamp, and everybody who associates with him knows it

Ironically, non-selection of players like Miller, Jacobs, Cottetell, Imran Khan. Cornwall and others might be a financial blessing to them for they might be making more money playing CPL than those players selected for WI duties. Something is very wrong with that picture!

Do the math..Dave selling out the CPL, must have benefited him or his cronies in some way, that is the man's track record.

Because how dis this tie into what WICB had beeen trying to tell us? That WI cricket must come first, but yet those playing at the highest level...earn less than the CPL, which they do not control lol lol

Laughable that they rely on someone else to supplement players income..and they have no control over that someone elses actions, how is it different from Big Bash or IPL, they dont own the CPL..clowns

So of course anything else cricket related would make no sense and be illogical, its never about the cricket for Dave, its about personal gain and his ego.

He's a scoundrel.

Says a lot about us in this part of the world that such a corrupt and morally bankrupt and inept man, can be voted in to the head of such an important institution..repeatedly, we get what we deserve

Lack of professionalism both on and off the field is killing our Test and ODI reputation and world ranking!

Just look at this incentive offered by the ICC

CWI will be given over 140 Million US dollars per year.

Can one see the Taj Mahal, the big EDiot will build.

CWI gats over 45 employees at the head office a cost exceeding 2.5 million US, Players are paid approx 3.6 Million US per year.

What are they doing at CWI, especially in Marketing?

Somebody in the ICC must also be benefitting from this incompetence...how can the conduct of the WICB attract any funds from any governing body..without some form of change/ oversight/ accountability??

US$ 140 million per year and cannot pay a suitable contract wage, to attract quality players, like our experienced players, so we are left with incompetent players. CWI has the potential to generate much more funding and receipts by utilizing our experienced and better quality players.

CWI need to use some of that money on arranging more A team tours, lots more warm up matches, and youth development programs throughout the region.
