The social order nuff money up ah top and pure empty pockets at the bottom and no middle section in their society which is to me the engine force of any successful and progressive nation.

Comrades wiped out the Jamaican middle class twice. In the 70s and 90s.

They do not like to see folks driving benz and bmw, they think toyota corolla is all you should need.

Damn! it's so obviously glaringly wrong on that island. A strong middle class that moves up and down the social order would keep the country ticking over nicely. Work hard and succeed you go upper and mess about and fall under to the poor working class radar. The country would have financial drive then.

Jamaica is certainly not unique in this situation.

Pretty much the same argument espoused here from Nick Hanauer

The real threat to our republic is an alarming breakdown in social cohesion, and the cause of this breakdown is obvious: radical, rising economic inequality, and the anger and anxiety it engenders. The truth is that over the span of decades, American lawmakers (at the behest of economic elites like us!) have enacted policies that have depressed wages, stoked economic insecurity and exacerbated cultural angst and social dislocation. At the same time, a tiny minority of mostly urban elite (again, us!) have benefitted obscenely from our growing economic, political and legal power.
