Teens laugh as man drowns right before them

JahJah 2017-07-21 11:02:03

They didn't try to help or call for it. Just stood their rolling around in laughter. How humane.

Just the other day one animal helped another when it was struggling and about to suffer the same fate.

RIP.

The teens were probably scared of all the tats. Or maybe could not swim

Police identified and interviewed the five teens involved. Cocoa Police Chief Mike Cataloupe calls their actions “utterly inhumane and cruel,” but says criminal charges won’t be filed because state law doesn’t require people give or call for help when someone’s in distress.

I would call 911

Too many people are valuing human lives as if they were nothing these days. Sad.

So the fear of tats drove them to laughter while filming the whole ordeal...gotcha!!

those white teens are not jumping in to save anyone. Would u jump in to save the guy? No, you would keep ur white ass out and wait for help.

the laughter is just teens being teens.

Were they charged under the Good Samaritan Law?

From above:

Still sad. Couldn't even take the time to at least call someone, before taking damn video.

Teens being teens eh.

If I saw someone drowning and I were an expert swimmer you better believe I would damn well jump in and help them. At the very least I would not be standing there filming them die, while laugh in the process. I'd be dialing or calling for help.

Your replies say quite a bit about you and your way of thinking.

you know that these clown white teens were swimmers?

were not there? did u hear them trying to tell him to get out?

I can not mourn for every tragedy that takes place.

I rescued a man from imminent death and got a police citation for it.

You sound just like those white teens.

Watching someone die and don't do anything, and laugh on top of that,at least call for help.I cannot find words to describe them.

Kay 2017-07-21 13:08:25

Maybe this had something to do with it...

Dunn, who was heavily tattooed, was last seen wearing a black shirt emblazoned with the phrase ‘I’m Blessed,’ and a red hat that read "Only God can judge me,"

they were acting normal and casual. That might be a product of their upbringing.

that is you getting worked up about ur above statement. I just gave u my feelings on the tragedy. I wish they would not happen, But when it does, I am affected only when it is PPl I know personally.

So right...the ever increasing shock value required by Social Media is making human decency an inconvenient quality.

No one expected them to jump in and save the guy, I would not recommend it, unless you are a strong swimmer and know what you are doing.

Should have called for help.

Should have called for help.

Agreed.

The lack of concern is reflective of their upbringing.

I am a below decent swimmer but jumping in to save someone is a bad idea.

If you can get them to hold on to some thing like a pole or a rope.

Someone going down has a death grip and will take u down.

you need to see that vid.

those kids have zero sense of value of human life and worse...really represent the scum and failure of adults to raise children properly.

it aint that difficult to see that as they laughed and taunted the man as he drowned.

It is not.

Are you aware of the 14 years old level of empathy these days.

Ps read the conversation, no speed reading.

The teens were interviewed by police, during which they admitted to being in the area "smoking weed," police said.

Police say that on the morning he drowned, Dunn had gotten into a "verbal altercation" with his mother and "possibly his fiancé," during which he told his fiancé to "leave the house," Martinez said.
"(His fiancé) left the home at about 12:40 p.m. Based on the video, he went into the water at about 12:50 p.m. and then drowned. He was in the water struggling for one or two minutes for the video portion," Martinez told CNN.
"We don't have anything criminal resulting from that incident," Martinez said. "Our detectives were trying to get potentially if a negligence law could apply. The state attorney advises it doesn't meet standard for a criminal charge

If I chased you with a machete and you are killed by a car while running across the road getting away.
I will be charged with manslaughter.

If I mentally cause you distress to a point that you walked into a lake and met your demise.
The law can't prove anything.

Look at cyber bullying. There is documentation of metal distress.(the girl that distress and encouraged the teen to kill himself)
