When we do end the experiment, which quicks in the region do we then choose to experiment with. I guess is goes to the heart of our problem, as bad as you seem to think that he is, he is IMO the best that we have and the most likely to trouble test batsmen on the wickets that favor him. For the record plese advise three quicks who you would play ahead of him when healty.
It real shame that your best quick cah play a whole series. Never has Gabriel
Viv is spot on wrt Gabriel being overweight. Whenever I watch Gabriel lumbering up to bowl I always wonder whether it would not be wise for his captain to check with him to make sure he will make it back to his mark. This guy always look like a breakdown just waiting to happen.
why do we find so much pleasure in others problems?
In reply to silver
What crap alyuh does talk? The only problem with Gabriel is that he's not the smooth athletic type so he puts a lot of strain on his body which ends up injuring him.
Shannon improvement as a bowler is obvious. He takes to coaching well and for that he cannot be dismissed for a weight problem. Are people on this MB truly serious?
I don't know if Gabriel need to lose weight or not but he has been our best pace bowler in the last year or so without doubt. If he can't bowl then we have no bowlers
In reply to Raggs
If the bowler has improved in bowling but his personal fitness is a problem then he still has issues. Indiscipline. Drop him.
The ICC world ranking of our bowlers should give us a fairly good idea of the usefulness and or effectiveness of our bowlers at the international level. No need to assess their ability or lack thereof by way of anecdotal evidence.
Overweight is what terms? Muscle is much heavier than fat.
Coaching would sort this out. Did Viv give any comments on Rakeem?
Well spot Viv..... let's drop him now.
These legends always seem to pick on the one or two bright spots we have shining. Maybe is just because they hate Cameron that much and any progress would be a feather in his cap....
The Angel has improved as a bowler, hopes he continue to improves
He's a brawny fella...not built like the typical fast bowler...he needs to watch how he eats! I'm trying to get to 155 - 160...been skipping lunches...down to 170 from 178!
What would he say about lavarock
In reply to BeatDball
Eat less bro do not skip meals as the body will think you are tricking it and start storing fat. Stay away from carbs and sugar.
If we push Angel away with too fat talk,,, we can see Angel going the Kolpak way like Rampee and Castro
In reply to Runs Hmmmm...ok, I have noticed like I have stucked at 170!
In reply to BeatDball
Stop eating 3 hours before bedtime
In reply to silver Sounds more rational....some say don't eat after 8, 7, 6pm. I'm thinking my last meal should be at 6pm. But, it's facting hard when your wife doesn't help! Always buying guyneez pastries....
Gabriel problem, in my opinion, is not his weight, but his bowling action, he put a lot of pressure on his mid-section when he bowls, that's why he is getting so many side strains. He is the most effective strike bowler the WI have at the moment.
His change in action....this more 'natural' action is more unnatural to him hence all these injuries.
When his action was Frankenstien like he was probably the least injury prone bowler in WI.
