What kind of ship do you think it would be?

Take the tour into the harbor, they have about 80 ships with 10 Aircraft Carriers, Nimitz class nuclear powered etc those ships are like football fields. USA is a mighty nation, it will leave you awestruck and sad as you reflect. You cannot go on of course, so have a good pair of binoculars. USS Cole was docked when I visited.
You can tour the decommissioned Wisconsin though.
Another place that may interest you if you are into such is NASA Cape Canaveral Fl. Have a feeling you been there done that.

Work for a Naval Architect and Marine Eng. firm out of school as a Jr Naval Architect, it is said that the NY firms design and built more than 1000 ships during WW2, I was fascinated by ships as a youngster, I will try to visit Newport/ Norfort in the near future.
Thanks for the info

Even more impressive is the fact that the vessel named USS Gerald R Ford was conceived, built, and commissioned in 6 months, the time since Trump took office. All this while Obama was president for 8 years and contributed nothing to this modern day miracle.
In reply to Drapsey
The most important milestone is the commissioning, not the design, or the construction or operation.

What about the person who slams the champagne bottle on the ship....that is pivotal. Yes?
