Darron Nedd is a big chucker, no sense in picking these guys and then they action get reported then they go in the wilderness unable to make an impact again.

Windies youth team is good, can see us going far in the next world cup again. There will be contenders coming out of the regional U19 tournament that starts soon that will challenge some the guys who are on tour.
Look out for Rayon Williams (Out swing new ball bowler) and Dillon Douglas (middle order bat) from Windward Islands.

Oh dear... not another one...they really need to sort this out at this level... such a shame and waste.
In reply to jen
Good to hear Jen... yeah I notice Dillon Douglas making a lot of runs in the Garfield Sobers school tournament in Barbados.

He and he recently scored a double century in the windwards u19 tournament.
U19 tournament kicks off tomorrow I'm St Kitts I believe. I shall be following with interest and hoping some high quality individuals emerge. To be honest I couldn't care less who wins the tournament... I'm just interested in individuals emerging and showing genuine promise.
Yadram gotta start converting dem fifty... anyways congrats on another MOM performance.. hopefully he continues to develop.. is time Guyana produce ah decent batsman n not d likes of Chandrika and Johnson
By d way d Guyana U19 team left for the regional tournament yesterday.. up to now the GCB cannot release the squad to the media.. ah wonder if that happens in other countries?

Yadram is a cool headed youth, like the way he goes about his business. Quality player. Yes, he does need to convert. I guess he just need to cross the barrier once then it all gets easier from there.

Last year a pacy youth played for Leewards or Windwards.. his last name starts with P...
How come he's not in the WI U19... youth had all dem batsman hopping around...
In reply to anthonyp
Happens in the Leewards but the Leewards is made up of a group of Islands so that might be more challenging but still no excuse with the technology readily available to everyone.

Kian Pemberton I believe you are referring to. He hails from Nevis and he was at the U-19 trials but was not selected in the final squad. Not sure why.
In reply to anthonyp
Pemberton. He was consistently picking wickets in that U19 series. If he is fit there can be no other reason to ignore him

Will the WI U19 tournament start without the players on tour or will they be back by then?

U19 regional tournament starting from today.. WI U19 still in Zimbabwe..

That's the guy.. was really impressive in the last regional U19... maybe he's overage? Or injured?
If not somebody need to explain why he's not in the squad.. the current pace attack struggling to take wickets..
In reply to anthonyp
Yeah, it strange Kian Pemberton not there, as to me, he was by far the most impressive seamer in the regional u19 last year. And from what I see, he is very young. Think he's 17 at the moment.
Doesn't appear to be any streamed coverage of the games this year... shame.
Bhaskar comes from a big family of cricketers. He loves the game and has very good work ethic. He could go far.
