Trump: Loyalty before principles.

pelon 2017-08-15 11:24:20

Preface: "Good" leaders attempt to merge and galvanize principled positions before loyalty. Loyalty comes resultant to those principals.

In trying to rationalize how Trump is quick to trash say, a CEO that quits his committee (within minutes) - yet slow, initially vacant, to renounce alt-right (I call them alt-white)... The answer came to me as: loyalty.

Because (a Steve Bannon led) group of voters pledged unwavering support to Trump, he was and is very reluctant to publicly renounce their hate. Different to his own daughter, different to many republicans - who on principle condemned the acts in Charlottesville, Virginia quickly, rather than appearing to placate with soft words as Trump did on Saturday.

The "on many sides" statement he made Saturday, was enough to remind this rum drinker of how and why he is the president: strategic words to his base.

And those not a part of his base?
When Trump told African Americans: "what do you have to lose", I figured this would be a clear signal to all that this tycoon to be President was a master manipulator, and keen to use propaganda before principles. the question was not followed up with solutions for minorities, it was left in suspension: "what do you have to lose?".
Asking a rhetorical question that led to an answer like: "nothing" and was a brilliant (vile) political strategy - it even secured Nitros vote. Yet in short time, his rhetoric has now shown observers the answer: "everything".

"Make America Great Again" the whistle to the entitled.

The hope is for an awakening, if the symbols AND deeds of hate don't cause you to speak up and out, you are part of the problem.

Murica is so fcuked right now. The entire country appears deeply fractured and polarized both politically and socially.

And of course they are leaderless. A disaster of their own making.

can you believe that in answering a question about WHY the CEOs are leaving Trumps council he says its because they have their products made outside of the USA.

Trump is such a jackass that he forgets that over 80% of his products are made outside of the USA..

pelon 2017-08-15 16:16:26

he continues to equivocate the alt-right fascist with the people that came to protest their presence.

It's a shocking Q&A session. Media has not asked a single question on Infrastructure, just hammering him on the elephant in the room.

Well written. But I disagree with this:

When Trump told African Americans: "what do you have to lose", I figured this would be a clear signal to all that this tycoon to be President was a master manipulator, and keen to use propaganda before principles. the question was not followed up with solutions for minorities, it was left in suspension: "what do you have to lose?".
Asking a rhetorical question that led to an answer like: "nothing" and was a brilliant (vile) political strategy - it even secured Nitros vote. Yet in short time, his rhetoric has now shown observers the answer: "everything".

There was nothing brilliant or masterful about what Trump did.

It is insanely easy to tell someone everything he/she wants to hear. Trump made so many blunders along the way and had so many skeletons in his closet it reinforces what snoop said:

Murica is so fcuked right now. The entire country appears deeply fractured and polarized both politically and socially.

He refused to release his taxes and said he was under audit.
I will build a wall and Mexico will pay for it.
I will bring jobs back, turn water into wine and walk across water.

No that is not masterful or brilliant. Just look at his poll numbers. He has not been doing anything masterfully yet 70% of the red think he is doing a great job. What exactly has he actually done that has improved their lives?

We would never consider a snake oil salesman a brilliant entrepreneur. Trump full of snake oil.

Nick, I hear you loud and clear.

I agree with you 100%, except you may have interpreted my use of "brilliant" as a positive exclusively. It is not. In brackets next to brilliant, I used vile. Which is to say Trump was very clever in manipulating a subset with rhetoric. That subset drank his kool-ade to the polls.

As much as my stomach churns at the thought, Nick Trump strategically out flanked the the Democratic Party in 2016. He used vile, repugnant attacks on Mexicans, women, opponents.... and got elected!!! WTF lol

So yes Nick, he was a master manipulator. Trump was brilliant at manipulation - that is not a CREDIT - but sadly he found himself elected because of it.

I wound not, against my personal creed, but that is the bedrock of America commerce. AS SEEN ON TV

I won't call that outflanking. If that is what is required to be elected then America deserves Trump and the like. The electorate always get what they deserve.

I wish Trump could last 3 terms.

Trump strategically out flanked the the Democratic Party in 2016.

Think about it:

Point: Trump won because Hillary was a weak candidate.

But no candidate in the history of modern elections was weaker than grab them by the p****, shoot people and still be popular Trump. Yes, Hillary was a weak candidate but surely if strength won an election we wouldn't be here right now.

Also it does not explain how Trump made it thru the RNC gauntlet. He beat outsiders like look at that face and brain surgeon that likens everything to slavery, and main stream candidates like Rubio, Jeb and Ted.

Either the Russians flat out corrupted the entire process or Americans in general are really stupid. Take your pick.

But I honestly believe no other country on this planet that hosts a free and fair democratic election would have ever voted in Trump. None.

You know who I blame the most for President Trump?

Women.

I remember this funny Nate Silver tweet about what the map would look like if no women voted for Trump.

We all saw him look at a little girl going up an elevator and said that is his girlfriend in 10 years.
We all heard him say where he grabs women.
We all knew his plans for planned parenthood and his stance on abortion and maternity leave.

It was said that the evangelicals held their noses and voted for Trump.

To quote Snoop again

Murica is so fcuked right now. The entire country appears deeply fractured and polarized both politically and socially.

As I have stated several times in this Forum , DEMOCRACY , demands that Citizens participate in Voting in ALL
Elections .

Hence my phrase that People Must turn
out to Vote . I would have no problems
if voting was made compulsory . My caveat however is simply this :

IF YOU VOTE FOR FECES , WHEN FECES

FALL ON YOU , YOU HAVE NO FREAKING

EXCUSE .

Unfortunately , in America , Feces
are raining down on all of US ; regardless of what Party Affiliation
One may have .

I have just learned on The Rachel Maddow Show , that in the 1920's the
Clan had a March in New York , many of them were arrested , including
FRED TRUMP , the father of Donald Trump who is currently the President
of the United States .

Therefore it is not surprising that
Donald Trump is a Sympathizer of the
Klan , & the Alt Right . I have absolutely no doubt that the News that his Father was arrested during
a march of the Klu Klux Klan in NYC .

It will be very interesting to see
how the Republican Party receive the
News that Trump's Father was arrested
during a Klan March in NYC in the nineteen twenties .

It seems that the man who predicted
that Trump would win the Presidency , and will be impeached , seems to have
some credibility .

His rhetoric was masterful.

He used a combination of hate, false promises, fear, bullying and self aggrandization to get elected.

He is a master manipulator.

He had his "come to reality moment" and it brought him to tears.

Should be ashamed of his fawning for Trump all those months. He was all too happy to shine shoes in the shade for as long as he could, and turn his back to the real struggle.

I file him under opportunist.
