You don't change a winning team...but will Bishoo get to bowl at Lords?
Narper

Stats/Trivia
- The last time West Indies won a series in England was in 1988. Only three members of the current squad were born then - Devendra Bishoo, Kemar Roach and Shannon Gabriel.
- The last time West Indies won two successive Tests in an away series was way back in January 1993 in Adelaide and Perth to clinch the series after trailing 0-1.
-James Anderson has taken 81 wickets at Lord's. If he gets three more wickets in this Test, he will reach the landmark of 500 wickets and he will also have the most records by a fast bowler at a particular venue.
-Joe Root needs one more score of fifty or more to break AB de Villiers record of scoring 50 or more in 12 consecutive Tests.

Kraigg Brathwaite is on strike.

Dropped by Cook...easy catch ai slip
2.3
Anderson to Kraigg Brathwaite, no run, Cook drops another. That's a line to shake you down to the core. He dropped two in the seond innings at Headingley and now this one. An outswinger from Anderson here, Kraigg Brathwaite played away from his body and edged it. Was carrying straight to Cook at first slip, only to take him by surprise and ricochet onto his chest..

Holder to Root, out Caught by K Powell!! That's a brainfade moment for Joe Root. And what's more interesting is that the Windies are actually holding the catches. No reprieve this time for the English skipper. It was short and wide, Root could have easily left that alone. Instead, he decides to have a slash and gets on his toes to punch. Huge edge to the left of Powell at first slip and he completes an excellent catch. Seemed to have moved late, but kept his eyes on the ball and grabbed it sans fuss.

Roach to Malan, out Caught by Dowrich!! Gets the tickle. And it is that 'lower-the-volume' celebration again from Roach. Oh he's making a habit out of it. After the wide teases, he gets one to jab back in and Malan, in his wierd defences, gets up on his toes, closes the bat face quickly and faces it downwards. Never good enough in these conditions as the ball straightens off a length, just enough to kiss the edge. And Dowrich pouches the wobble.

Gabriel to Stokes, no ball, what was that? Gabriel has bowled Stokes. But hang on. The umpires have asked Stokes to wait. They are checking for the front foot no-ball. And he has been called for overstepping! Can you believe that? Stokes gets a life again. But the call for a no-ball is close. To me at least Gabriel had some part of the heel behind the line. He generally lands close to the line and then his heel slides forward. The third umpire though sees it differently. He goes in favor of the batsman. Gabriel and Holder can't believe it. Holder has a chat with a smiling Stokes. What a big moment in the game. They dropped him previously

Anderson to K Powell, out Bowled!! Well, that's a ball bowled with a backpack of 500 wickets. No shame, Powell; that ball, over the years, has snowballed wickets. This time it's you. Broad to Holder, out Caught by Anderson!! Over-ambitious and gone. Not there for the pull as the length was splice-jarring, still Holder went for it and spooned a dolly to mid-on. He walks back very disappointed. That should be the last hope gone as well

Broad to Gabriel, no run
Given out first ball. Gabriel immediately reviews. I think the dismissal is for caught behind. But they will check the lbw as well. No bat by the looks of it. Miles away from the bat. S Ravi wants to check the lbw. Impact is outside off and Gabriel will survive.

Anderson to Roach, out Bowled!! Seven for Anderson. What a bowler he is. Nine in the match for him as well. He is getting a big applause from everyone. Best figures for him in Tests and he roars in delight. He has this ball as another souvenir as he walks off waving it to all corners of a sun-drenched Lord's. These are moments you live for as a cricketer. Leads the side off and deservedly so. No chance for Roach as the ball came in off the slope and like a wicked cobra, beat the bat-pad gap to land on middle. Another beauty to end the innings. That came back in a long way as I have another look at the replays.

Spoken with the wisdom of a short man.
(Incidentally, short men make the best batsmen)
But, seriously, if you are going to hook, do it properly. Go back and across. Simple.

Stokes - Player of the Match
"It's good to come back here and put in a performance like that. The way we bounced back after losing the game was credit to the team. I found good rhythm and I quite enjoy bowling long spells. Helps when the ball is swinging like it was on the first day. (The summer) is coming along nicely. A lot of credit goes to Otis Gibson; he will be missing from the dressing room.

Shai Hope - Player of the Series, Windies:
"Hopefully (this is my breakthrough series). Hopefully I can carry on for a few years. This is a tough place to play cricket. Good to get some runs under your belt. Hopefully next series, some more. It was a very good experience for me. All the batters have learnt a lot from this tour, to carry into the next. It's all about trusting a plan, and executing it."

James Anderson - Player of the Series, England:
"Definitely (will remember it for the rest of my life). Playing a Test at Lord's is special. My family and friends are here, and to share this with guys I have played 100 Tests with is a great feeling. I didn't think I would play this much. The team has been enjoyable one to play with. There was no swing today, so we used the slope. Tried to create pressure and got rewards for it. Not surprised (with my fitness) this summer. I work hard on it. Hopefully not many more niggles to contend with. Gibson will be a huge loss. He's been fantastic to work with and has got a great cricket brain. I'm myself the most aggrieved at the moment."

Holder - captain, Windies: "No regrets. We put up a good fight after the first innings. The second innings we didn't bat as well as we'd have liked. Credit goes to the way Shai Hope played, not just this game for all series. Credit must go to James Anderson. He's a world class player. Congratulations to him on reaching 500 wickets. He's been a competitor over the years. Credit to Ben Stokes and Stuart Broad too. A series in Zimbabwe in a couple of months, so want to keep going. I still think we have to be a lot more consistent with the ball - build more pressure by bowling more maidens - and we have to fight a little bit harder (with the bat) to get ourselves stuck in. And then we have to take our chances when fielding. We let ourselves down with a number of chances in the field. It's very good to see Shai come here and do well, and wishing him the best. Hopefully other guys around him can do the same."

Root - captain, England: "The guys were fantastic this morning and set the tone beautifully. I think he pretty much speaks for himself. The hard work Anderson puts behind the scenes.. The control he has with both the balls, new and old.. To be able to hold a length for a significant amount of time is a fantastic skill. He's very good, he's very good (when asked if he's an easy man to captain). He's brilliant in the dressing room, very insightful, very helpful. We have played some great cricket throughout the summer. The way we have won is fantastic and hopefully we can take that momentum forward this winter. We are moving forward as a team. It's (my first summer as England captain) been thoroughly enjoyable. Plenty of learning's along the way and I'm sure there will be more in the future."
