I believe that it was a mistake to have kept young Brian out of the test team for so long ....
I also believe that there is no excuse for waking up a person and sending them to sit out in the rain.

Viv, let the sleeping Lara ... lie.
However, it is West Indies, in particular .... & cricket in general that were the real losers here ....
Because these antics denied us of seeing our two most successful batsmen parading their skills in the same test match.

good thing Lara didnt lash out then cause he woulda be kicked out or fit right in
In reply to Yadi
Not to sit....but to watch rain fall

This was par for the course for apprentices - back in the day. In Jamaica the apprentices were referred to as young boys.

Seriously though .... I find disrupting someones rest ... for NO good reason a little over the top.
In reply to Yadi
nuff peeps rest was disturbed by Lara during that last South Africa tour with Hooper etc - nuff men get up at 3 am to watch WI get demolished test after test
In reply to Yadi
Lara made up for being disturbed in later years.
I saw him in the tight company of a 'lady' at breakfast before he and the 'lady' sneaked into the elevator when the rest of the team was working out in the pool.

So he pay himself for what sir Viv
allegedly took?

I went to a tough Boarding school(ELIM)and know the advantage of ragging. No need to explain Brian stood as evidence.
