West Indies won the second test...

...because Bishoo did not bowl and the pressure was maintained most of the time on England.

lol lol lol

I am wishing that this is his last test match. Let him go and do like all modern leg spinners...add variety and consistency to his bowling.

Even pacemen cannot survive without some sort of variation.

Also on the chopping block: Dowrich, Blackwood, Powell, Kyle Hope and Alzari Joseph.

They have nothing...absolutely NOTHING to offer test cricket.

I can see the nuances which cause persons to excel at the highest level. This makes a big difference...a solid foundation from which to build.

Shai Hope had the skills.

The aforementioned are pretenders.

I just hope they don't renew Blackwood Dorwich and Bishoo contract. Cause will will be stuck with these guys for the next 12 months

some players for whatever reason are nervous in their first couple of games. they need time to find their footing. other come out ready their first game.

There must be a level of accountability from all sides if we are to make meaningful progress.

CWI needs value for contract monies.

Blackwood has played many tests...Bishoo has played many tests. And as I said earlier here, if Shai plays as many tests as Blackwood and barley averages 30 he too should be on the chopping block. Good to average test batsmen average in the 40's after 30 or so test matches.

Time to cut the loses.

Dowrich, Kyle, Powell, Blackwood and Alzari have nothing to offer.

you are saying Shai Hope had the skills, yeah, but if you look in your archives you would see the posters who doubted you.

what if one of these players is another Hope and only needs a bit more time

Mate, quite a number of posters here don't know jack shit about cricket and their posts should be discounted greatly.

..........

If a player demonstrates the early ability and potential like Shai Hope obviously he should be persisted with...right now, the players on the chopping board are NO SHAI HOPE.

with whom would you replace them?

In reply to sudden

The only player which comes to mind is Hetmyer. I have a lot of time for him.

But...

Walton can be given an opportunity at number 7 with the gloves.

Ambris can be given an opportunity at Number 5.

Lil B comes back to number 3.

And my new paceman from Jamaica...

Leg spin is a bit of a worry...but anyone new and willing to learn the skills in quick time can replace Bishoo.

remember Windies fans believe the best player is the player not selected until he get a play.

ok you do realise that most of those may have failed in England under those conditions, right?

i dont know about Walton and not enough about Ambris to comment but there is a reason why the selectors went for the guys on tour. despite what others may think it was not random.

there is some buzz around the pacers Thomas and another i cant recall.

would you reselect Ramdin, Gayle etc for test cricket?

Not one fact!!!...those jester boys and their ilk are partly responsible for where we are now...and besides, I don't think vomit tastes nice.

big grin

To repeat...the guys on the chopping block have nothing to offer at this point in time.

mate, as long as we are not going back to Ramdin, Gayle and dem so, you will not get much resistance from me.

i must say altho we lost, we ought not to be ashamed. we have shown real fight. we have a ways to go and some tweaks to make.

above all players should be aware that they are responsible for their progress. i know that there is a management structure in place for this purpose but the player should make sure they understand their deficiencies and get the necessary help within the structure or without

It will be retrogressive to so do.

I will be the first to put my hand up and say "some of our lads showed fight...the rest were just passengers eating a food and stinking up the place."

analyst-kid 2017-09-09 17:03:26

Mike said practically everything Courtesy said BEFORE the series...

Powell was no use
Cummins was no use...and knowing him he probably has now added Dowrich ,blackwood and Kyle Hope to his list.

Kyle Hope at #3 was always asking too much for someone on his first overseas tour and, to England to boot.

If Shai is the real deal, I would like to see him coming in at #3 in the future. I would not discard Kyle yet, but I thought Powell would have assumed a more senior role. Blackwood is Blackwood and only seems one way to play.

I expected more from Chase. I thought he had what was required to succeed in English conditions.

If not Bishoo who? I would agree that by this time in his career one would have expected he would have added more variety to his bowling.

I would have the same individuals on another oversea tour. When is that?

In reply to ProWI

I heard here that he was better bat than Shai. My expectation level was skyle high.

Kyle did not have a clue. Bishoo looked far better than him as a bat.

............

As regards Chase, his reflexes are too slow. He will always be troubled by good pace and swing. He also needs to learn quickly the art of off spin bowling at the higher level of the game.

............

The less said of Bishoo the better...HE IS JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH. We do not have the cricketing resources to afford a bowling passenger.
