HAVANA, Cuba (CMC) Over 750 health workers from Cuba have arrived in several islands ravaged by Hurricane Irma.
The workers who were sent to Antigua and Barbuda, St Kitts Nevis, St Lucia, The Bahamas, Dominica and Haiti, have been told to follow the guidelines of the Ministry of Public Health and to contribute to the recovery of regions hard hit by the powerful storm.

That's the model for the Caribbean.
While T&T debating what to send.
Step up Guyana, Barbados and Jamaica

This is even more impressive because Cuba also sustained a great deal of damage from Irma.
Cuba generates more medical doctors per capita than any other country in the world. I was told during my recent visit to Cuba that production of medical doctors is Cuba's largest generator of foreign exchange, with tourism being second. I still can't believe that one.

You may already know this but all Caribbean English speaking countries are dependent on Cuba for either training doctors or providing doctors and nurses in normal times (not absolutely sure about Guyana). Without the Cubans we would be in trouble in normal times.
In disasters in Africa, Caribbean and Venezuela, Cuba has provided way more resources than US. Remember the ebola medical personnel in 2015.
Just saw a nice smiling senorita at a hospital in eastern Jamaica a few days ago. It took a lot of willpower to leave well alone.

On the topic of señoritas, my business partner in Jamaica employs at least 30 professional female Cuban dancers (not gogo club dancers) in Montego Bay. Perhaps I should make an introduction

My friend operates a reputable business, not a whorehouse. Don't know your age, but most of these senoritas are in their 20s.

The Cuban and DR 'ladies' are taking over due to superior assets and attitude. I hear Marabella is now the place to get Spanish lessons. Did you say you were from south?
In Dominican my pardna tells me the local birds are almost extinct.

I am just a small investor in the young gal business.
BTW It seems you escaped Irma without any negative effects. Heard Daytona Beach to Jacksonville Beach took a pounding and was under storm surge threat.

I'm south of Daytona on the Space Coast. Winds were howling yesterday afternoon and last night and the rain was falling horizontally, only touching ground after colliding with something. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I have two homes in the area. One lost power and the other did not. So I'm at the house with power
