Officials call for Tabraiz Shamsi to be... ‘BANNED’
The incident happened when Shamsi showed what the match officials described as serious dissent when an LBW decision was turned down off the last ball of the 13th over by Gregory Brathwaite, one of the match umpires. Shamsi admitted the offence and accepted the sanction of a fine of 50% of his match fee.
However, this decision did not go down well with former West Indies opener and Barbados captain Philo Wallace. He said:"That display was very poor, I was on commentary and could not believe what I was seeing, it was very embarrassing for umpire Gregory Brathwaite. Now to hear that he has just gotten only a 50 percent fine it is disappointing. He should be banned for at least a couple games. We need to send these guys a message because I don't think he would have gotten on like that in South Africa, where he resides."

Maybe he had a couple of El Dorado before the game. They don't get that in ESA so easily.
The dead give away was when the camera caught him saying "the umpire deh pon skunt"

Yep, classic case of men coming in the caribbean and behaving like they rule the place. Ah we does ha them so. Philo Wallace correct. Ban him for 3 games plus tek way 100% of he match fee.

I saw it....and called it out immediately...in fact I started a thread calling for him to be banned
It was crass and disgraceful behaviour.

Shamsi could learn from the gentlemanly behaviours of other spinners like Shadab and Rashid Khan...both of whom had tons and tons of appeals not given...some of which were clearly out
But you see Shamsi got cocky after he teamed up with WI T20 cappo Braffit to 'stage act' his celebration at the fall of a wicket

you can add ungrateful to this too...he deserve to be banned and if it was me, kick him outta the CPL...totally classless and disrespectful to de umpire!

Look, no one disagree that his actions was highly shameful and he deserved the sanctions by the match referee.
But for Wallace to call for him to be banned and then to bring in nationality into the mix is pure hogwash.
The punishment is consistent with what others got in the past, except some of the English players who never get sanctioned.
But Wallace is absurd.

Philo set the standard of good behaviour when he played. Never a complaint about him.
Notwithstanding, T20 is joke cricket and it cultivates this type of bad behavior

Shamsi was only following in the footsteps of luminaries like Stuart Broad who Incidentally will be afforded the entitled treatment next time he sets foot in Bim

It will be interesting to see if Wallace has been critical of similar behavior by other cricketers specially those English lads.

Man all you give me a break yeah...sure Shamsi was animated...but with all the wrong decisions Braithwaite..who was to say this was not one too..
