Even this should make a Climate Change Believer in Nitro.
I'm out of state.
Very worrying reports though. Will be surprised if my roof still on.

Keep safe people..... even you Commie and remember plenty space in Ghana if you want to move to safer ground!
In reply to Commie
I hope that ALL the Members of your Family are safe , and whatever damage
they sustain they do not suffer physical harm .
Buildings can be rebuilt or renovated
that aint the case with Human Beings . As I have stated elsewhere in this
Forum , Global warming is not a Hoax
so it means that the Building Codes in the Region must be revised , and have strict enforcement .
Global Warming apart from spawning powerful Hurricanes , it also brings a rise in the Sea Level .
BTW , that extra large chuck of Ice larger than Manhattan ,that broke off from the North Pole will also cause the Sea level to Rise .
Therefore building Houses & Hotels
very near the Sea ; oh flat lands should not be permitted .
In reply to Commie
Damn, that must be worrying....
I know it's just property, but it's still devastating to lose your prized possessions. A lot of them have sentimental value, that can never be replaced.
In reply to Commie
Glad u r safe. Hope the losses r minimal.
In reply to Commie
Hoping for the best to you and yours.
This has been devastating.
I'm leaving overseas to head back.
Can't be away listening to this.

Glad to 'see' you, man. You brought us Trump but beyond that you're good peeps.
I'm not a praying man but I'm as it were praying for your folks and countrymen in Waitikubuli.

Technically everyone is my peeps now.
No one has been spared. I went through David and ppl are saying this is worse. That is unimaginable to me.
In reply to Commie
You are correct - this is both unbelievable and frightening.
Don't see how our region recovers from these two - not in my lifetime
In reply to Commie
garcon, i will take some time from bereaving to wish that none of your peeps are harmed.
Roosie can rest assured that he will get all the help he needs from Bim. all the help we can give under the circumstances, i mean

Maria's eye passed over the island and the wind must have wreaked havoc.
Dominica is mountainous, is there flooding from storm surge?
Even though the storm has passed understand the risks and stay safe.
In reply to Commie

Wishing Commie and all affected by this hurricane safety and security.

The damage is catastrophic.
Landslides are the biggest next threat.
I will hopefully be in by Friday.

And the season ain't over yet.
In reply to Commie
Hang in there Commie. At the end of the day, life is most precious. Things can be rebuilt and re acquired

Can't sit out this one.

Once you get to Antigua you can charter a helicopter to DA.

There are cheaper options. Boats leaving from Antigua to DA.
Surely you know someone here from the boating community.

In VIRGIL Classic --- THE AENEID
Juno exclaimed - It is hard to believe Gods in Heaven capable of such rancor.
She went straight to Aeolia where the storm-clouds have their home and mad winds are bursting to be free. In the great spaces of a cavern they wrestle, and hurricane roar; but Aeolus, the king who rules them, confines them to their prison, disciplined and curbed
..
Unfortunately we cant curb those forces or confine them to their prison we can only deal with their aftermath I hope yours is reasonably doable all the best.
Just seeing pics of the terrible damage to Dominica...even the Prime Minister is in tears!
The island will need a lot of help to rebuild!

Can you or any Admin start a fund raising something here and we all donate to this under CC.Com? I am all in for something like this!
The loss of the agricultural crops will have crippling effects.
In reply to WestDem
