thefacts 2017-09-19 11:07:55

Shai ---- 35 off 56
Marlon -- 16 off 42

... Damn, them both don't know how to rotate the strike

natty_forever 2017-09-19 11:08:18

... now he out.

thefacts 2017-09-19 11:08:25

and Shai goes..

That wicket was pure pressure of not getting any runs in the lead up

Man sssh... These men are highly rated on this site

lol lol lol

thefacts 2017-09-19 11:09:44

In reply to Wasp

Friendship will come in later... first they have to learn to drop the ball in the gap

BOTH play with such hard hands...

thefacts 2017-09-19 11:12:32

This ability to play with soft hands, rotate the strike has really gone "EXTINCT" in WI cricket.

T20 cricket has surely killed whatever little of this aspect was left in our players ...

I can't remember who was the last WI player, who was great at soft hands, rotating the strike.... of course leaving out the greats Lara, Shiv etc.

Sars..DJ Bravo were the last two

thefacts 2017-09-19 11:17:43

In reply to DIEHARD

Big Bravo has certainly lost his soft hands "Batting"!! He really tries to club everything out..

Yes Sars was great with soft hands.

thefacts 2017-09-19 11:22:33

Lil Bravo on certain days shows glimpses of his ability to play with soft hands.

he might be the only one right now.

thefacts 2017-09-19 11:24:11

JMo ----- 3 off 10
Powell--- 0 off 4

these guys too don't play with soft hands.

thefacts 2017-09-19 11:25:18

Rovman is seriously a wicked DEJAVU of Ricardo

Pacy 2017-09-19 11:25:25

In reply to thefacts

Shai as not that bad but Samuels completely halted the flow of the game.

thefacts 2017-09-19 11:27:03

In reply to Pacy

Yes, Marlon was worse.

But Shai isn't looking to play with soft hands. Its something he can work and improve upon

conman 2017-09-19 11:27:51

In reply to Pacy

as usual
When its time to rely on marlon you can count on the game slowing down for his "possible" assault

thefacts 2017-09-19 11:27:59

To JMOs credit, he is trying to place his shots in the gap.

Last few deliveries he has all driven for singles.

thefacts 2017-09-19 11:28:30

Rovman is brainless really... Jury out on this guy for me.

He seems like a hitter to me. More like a No.7 than a No.6

He started being able to find the gaps and run hard between the wickets..i remember a couple of innings with SR close to 200 tween him and Ramdin with little to no boundraries, they just run two off every ball.

His batting has fallen way off

DIEHARD 2017-09-19 11:37:33

In reply to thefacts

Rovman is too high at 6, Ambris was in my team and not Bishoo..to allow Powell to come at 7..maybe the shortened game meant we didnt need Ambris lol lol

thefacts 2017-09-19 11:43:59

In reply to DIEHARD

I agree, Ambris should get this whole series at no.6

thefacts 2017-09-19 11:45:39

In reply to thefacts... you look as if you would bowl Powell more, hence 7.

4 part timers:

Powell
J Mo
Samuels
Gayle

10 overs should be entirely possible

+ Powell at 7 is because of his hard hitting game. He can ofcourse improve and bat like a proper batsmen, but until then his game is a bit on the T20 side

thefacts 2017-09-19 11:52:25

In reply to natty_forever

The Pommies are consistently bowling short to Rovman.. looks like a weak area being exploited

thefacts 2017-09-19 11:55:06

GONE

This looks like Game is Done

My thinking exactly..we short on proper batsmen for 50 overs..get Ambris in there.
