Kohli's Dismissal Wrong time AGAIN

Emir 2017-09-21 07:24:27

He soaked up enough balls and just when he needed to stay put, he got out to a needless shot which in a way is what defines his career- A very good batter, exciting with an array of strokes in all formats, lucky to be in a strong Indian side with lots of back ups in front and behind which gives him the freedom to play his game, but more often than not, and statistics aside, he has not delivered when it really matters the most. His opportunity today was to shot Australia out of the game and as it now stands, they have a chance.

37.5
Coulter-Nile to Kohli, out Bowled!! "Very rarely you see Kohli being dismissed in the 90s," says Harsha on air. But one could see this coming, especially in the last 5 minutes or so. Kohli hit a lovely boundary in the previous over, but ever since then couldn't find the middle of the bat all of a sudden. All cue-enders and mistimed hits. This time he opts to guide a reverse swinging (incoming) length ball that is just outside off stump. A dangerous ploy that and he pays the penalty by dragging it back onto the sticks to shock the nation. Anyway, a top innings under really difficult conditions. He was struggling with the humidity, but managed to keep himself going.

Kohli b Coulter-Nile 92(107) [4s-8]

IND 197-5 (37.5 overs)

Kohli, winning captain and Man of the Match: We didn't feel like we had enough on the board at the break. But we knew if we had a good start we have a good chance of defending it. We knew if we don't take wickets it would be difficult.

To be honest, the wicket wasn't easy to bat on throughout the day. Bhuvi's spell became even more important because we knew the wrist-spinners would do damage in the middle. The deliveries he got the batsmen out with were unplayable. You can count on Bhuvi for getting the breakthroughs. Two young spinners bowling with a lot of heart, speaks volumes about their characters. Really augurs well for us how the team is shaping up.

I always try to create that kind of motivation for myself. Sometimes things don't come off for you but I try and stay in the same zone. It wasn't easy to bat, plus the bowling attack was quality as well. Came off today, so it looked nice. Didn't come off in Chennai, so it didn't look nice.

This guy is a complete buffoon. A few months ago I posted how many matches India have won in both ODI'S and Tests when Kohli has scored a century. The numbers are staggering.

We can all play arm-chair QB. Those guys are out there in the middle battling.

In that bit Narps posted, twice, Kohli mentioned that the wicket wasn't easy to bat on and the results of both teams batting show.

Emir is SIMPLY a HATER who will NEVER appreciate great batting by Kohli.

Always ready to pounce even when it's NOT deserving.

Oh well......
