Karim impressed the monarch by cooking her chicken curry with dal and pilau.
She read through 13 volumes of the Queen writing about Hindustani lessons in Balmoral, visiting Abdul when he was ill, and visits to take tea with his wifewho she had granted permission to come from India to join himand see their cats new kittens. Her passion for India was obvious, from her desperate wish to eat a mango and her view of the Karims as her equals. It showed a completely different side of the Queens life that had been previously recorded.

I was fortunate enough to be invited to the pre release screening where they were deciding on the final cuts.
There was a Q&A session where the audience interacted with the director etc.
I would be very interested to see the final cut. Regardless I thought it was an excellent film sentive to the emotive subject of Royalty and the influence of Islam.
It was also very funny in parts and the ending that I saw was very sad.
I sincerely hope that this would ease
the acceptance of Megan Markle , of mixed races becoming the wife of Prince Harry .
