Prominent Trinis Slams Sat Maharaj Hate

Dominicans do not usually come to Trinidad except to attend the University of the West Indies, St Augustine. “They go to the USA, Canada and the United Kingdom. The only Dominicans who will likely come to Trinidad, will be persons like my brother who will stay at my home and return to their homeland once the comforts of life return,

Is there a system in place to receive and transition them into society even for 6 six months? Relaxing the immigration process will not do it. There are no jobs for them, so someone needs to have housing, food etc for the refugees....or is that in place?

Emir 2017-09-24 08:51:59

In reply to Dan_De_Lyan

Its called Aid. We take them in and provide for them for about 6 months- there are also lots of job that citizens do not want, so able bodied can work if needed. Families will open doors, I understand over 1000 families have signed up to receive their brothers and sisters

Right now there are illegal immigrants from among Indo Guyanese, Venezuelans, Christian Syrians- coming into the country courtesy of the powerful Syrian elite- the 1%, and from Dominican Republic- but you don't hear anyone complaining.

Indo Guyanese

The afro guyneez refuse to go to TT or what.

I know u have a hardon(well..mentally) for hindus.

If you can leave that out perhaps u can solve the refugee problem with dominica.

Have an amnesty and legalize the current illigals who are doing work tit dont want to do anyways

Good catch and I am glad you pointed it out.

I don't hide what I want to say.

Sat Maharaj do not admit this statistics b/c it serves his agenda, but he harps on Afro peoples.

I highlighted it only to point out this fact.

BTW, the ratio Indo Guyanese to Afro Guyanese immigrants in Trinidad is 3 to 1.

Or, it is a punishment depending how we look at it from an Islamic perspective. It is public knowledge that some of these islands are filled with lewed activities, for tourists.

Did Sat say this or your Imam?.

Is he saying your god is punishing infidels by sending hurricanes?

sgtdjones 2017-09-24 11:57:24

This is what Sat said.

He is a lawyer that supports Hindus in T&T
He makes that clear to everyone.

Maharaj yesterday said the Maha Sabha was mobilising food and other items to send to Dominica. “Right now (yesterday), there is a truck out there. We are sending two truck loads of articles which we have collected. There is somebody in Port of Spain that is sending out these to the islands.

“So that we should be extending financial and other support to them rather than bringing in more refugees here because we have about 60,000 refugees already in Trinidad. Many of our citizens are refugees in their own country. That is my take on it.” Maharaj repeated that many schools in the country were “falling down.”

“None of the schools have been repaired. They have unfinished schools and we cannot take in anymore. We can’t take in what we have locally far less to take in foreign students. “But my punchline is that there are people living like refugees in their own country here.”

What is wrong with the above ?

Oh really....please do tell us about these jobs, because with this economy where it is right now, there are people who have degrees that are working delivery, are cashiers that is if they cant get anything and sitting at home.

Emir 2017-09-24 15:53:36

Why not Cudjoe

Check him out he is the African Sat.

The same morning I appeared on “Showdown” on i95.5 fm. One of the hosts asked if I believe Sat is a racist. I answered No!

Although Sat says offensive things, that does not necessarily make him a racist. Sometimes he is even unaware of the hurt he causes others. In spite of these shortcomings, Sat will go down in our history as someone who worked arduously for the betterment of his group-that is neither a bad nor racist thing to do.

I do not believe Sat is a racist. Sat advocates for his people, the Hindus, as loudly as he can. I do not believe that makes him a racist.

I have been doing a similar thing for my people for the past fifty years. I have devoted my entire academic, political, and social life advocating for the rights of my people, at home and abroad. That does not make me a racist.

Is Sat a racist

'Hot' teachers walk off the job
...TTUTA says nine schools affected on first day

Nine primary and secondary schools including Princes Town East Secondary, Hockett Baptist Primary and Valencia Secondary were disrupted because of non-functioning air-conditioning systems, insanitary conditions and suspected rat infestation at the start of yesterday's September school term.

At some schools, teachers left as early as 9 am. At San Fernando Central Secondary, teachers will not be occupying school from today until an electrical upgrade is done. Before school began, Trinidad and Tobago Unified Teachers' Association (TTUTA) Lynsley Doodhai Doodhai had predicted repairs to 62 of the 142 schools earmarked for reparirs under the Vacation Repair Programme were still to be completed.

As I noted if you had graduated from high school you would understand what I am posting.

Sat married Bhadase Maharaj daughter, she fought in court for her rights to the estate.

Sat was born in Trinidad, why should he go back to India.

He makes it known that he fights for the Indians of the Maha Saba, the same as
Cudjoe who fights for his people the African population of T&T.

Emir and you are calling out the racist word.

You must be desperate to call on Manning.

In 2004, the former PM, at a post-Cabinet news briefing spoke of the importance of an executive jet.

Once more at the centre of attention, Manning referred to himself as the “father of the nation” during a political speech, and subsequently received harsh criticism.

In 2010, after leading the PNM to defeat, party supporters booed and taunted Manning out of Balisier House.

In May 2011, Manning was found guilty by the Privileges Committee on contempt charges.

Manning storms radio station

In October 2008, while at a barbershop in San Fernando, Manning heard radio announcers bash his policies and make displeasing comments. He hurriedly left the barbershop and stormed into 94.1 FM’s offices on Pembroke Street in Port-of-Spain. The announcers were subsequently suspended.

You know...if the hate thats directed at Sat, who has no real power and for all him gum flapping isn't affecting anyone life's in the slightest, was directing at the criminal element that is plaguing our country then maybe things might have changed for the better.

If the man is a racists how de fork thats affecting ur lives?
So as long as he is not in a position that has him using tax payers monies to do as he please then forget him.
Some people then get on like he does be in their bed between them and they wives at night.

Govt to pay Maha Sabha $3M for radio licence delay

THE Sanatan Dharma Maha Sabha (SDMS) was yesterday given the green light to challenge the assessment of a High Court judge on the amount of money it should be awarded by the State in its radio licence case.

A three-judge panel at the Appeal Court in Port of Spain—comprising Chief Justice Ivor Archie and appellate judges Maureen Rajnauth-Lee and Rajendra Narine—granted leave to the SDMS to challenge at the Privy Council the assessment of Justice Ronnie Boodoosingh.

Maha Sabha’s appeal against radio licence $$ thrown out

The Maha Sabha sought further redress at the Privy Council. On July 4, 2006, the Law Lords ruled that the State had discriminated against the Maha Sabha and its constitutional right to freedom of expression had been violated.

The Privy Council ordered the State to pay damages for loss of earnings and to grant the licence to the Maha Sabha forthwith but the Maha Sabha was not awarded the licence until September 22 that year.

The damages were assessed by Justice Ronnie Boodoosingh, who awarded the Maha Sabha $952,890 in compensatory damages and $500,000 in vindicatory damages, plus interest and incidentals.
