Hard headed I say. Stuck on stupid. We really do not have thinking cricketers at all.
In reply to yardman83
You say dat?

And the man is 27...if he can't learn by now, he'll never learn.
Took 3 wickets. Thought you were okay with giving up runs if he takes wickets.
I believe that these guys just do not have the required skill. Surely they are not that thick.
Why would Cummins not bowl a Yorker. I say he bloody can't do it.
Jason needs to explain why Cummins was given the ball after the initial beat down by Ali.
Someone needs to explain why Cummins on the team in the first place
In reply to yardman83
That really is the problem. LO cricket needs smart players who can make changes the strategy based on the match situation.
What we are seeing is a few robo's coming into the game with specific game plan and strategy and do not have the smarts to make changes.

Brother our cricket pan has got only crumbs in it.
I am still searching for 7 half decent cricketers in the region.
That how shitty we have been...and we have held sway for more than 20 years.
Fellas taking plenty licks and a man who was picked to bowl 10 overs cannot bowl them and he is not hurt.
What a cock's nest.

under estimate the value of Big Bravo, Narine and Pollard in West Indies ltd overs cricket
In reply to johnjo I had said this for for the last year. This guy is not a international cricketer. He jus a ordinary club cricketer. And Courtney Brown who is pillack continue to pick these Bajans. Holder can't captain a side even if he is picking his nose. He continue to bowl, theses long hops, over and over again. Even when he is getting hit for six, he did it in the same over. What an idiot.
Cummins should have been bowled out in the middle overs because he's not a death bowler. This is a major miscalculation by Holder.
Bump. The new savitra/honey jar.
In reply to londoner
good thinking, if Brown was the selector, Cummins would not be in the team and WI would have won the game by 150 runs.
In reply to methodic
They are smarter from reading the game perspective. But they had been on a long layoff from International cricket which might be a challenge.

The problem lies in CWI approach to ODI. The regional season is 8 matches a year compressed into a week. How can any player improve in environment where the board is not committed to this format. CWI complains that the reason is lack of sponsorship. I say they are putting out a poor product.
In reply to tc1
Cummings is bowling in his 7th innings in ODI's at 27 years. Has he been prepared for high intensity games at this level I would say NO! But we blame the players.
CWI plays regional ODI's on poor bowler friendly pitches not the types of tracks the players will see at the international level.
Allyu so quick to disparage your own.
When a WI batsman destroys an opposition bowler is de WI batsman dats good but when a Wi bowler gets destroyed he is a retard or he eh thinking de game.
If you have plyed the game you know dat losing the plot happens from time to time and a bowler would go fro plenty.
Can you imagine de great Murali bowling 10 overs for 99 runs or Dale Steyn going for 96 in 10 or James Anderson going for 91 or Malinga going for 96 in 7.4 overs? Heaven forbid dem bowlers cudn be so retarded or poor thinkers of the game.
In reply to Maispwi
Did you see those overs. He got hit for 6 and he kept on serving up the very same ball. Ofcourse the end result was the same
In reply to johnjo
Thanks for paying attention to the details, mate.
In reply to Maispwi
But dat ever happen?!!

Players must take some responsibility, as well as coaches, e.g, on a visit home in the 90s, I ask my friend how come, bowler X got 4 wickets in the first innings and can't get any in the second innings. he said to me X got those wickets Monday, It is Wednesday, X cannot repeat what he did Monday because he did know what he did on Monday, he just run up and bowled and somehow he had the right length, the conditions were favorable and he bagged 4, but don't ask him to repeat what he did on Monday.

Sounds about right...

Bump again to introduce the new Savitra/ honey jar.
I hope this is the last of him.
Let him go and learn how to bowl with new action and all.

Cummins once again leaking runs at about eight an over.
In reply to mikesiva
Everything about Cummins' bowling is bad. Which selector who knows about cricket and bowling would include such a poor bowler on any international side.
Cummins is history too.
In reply to Courtesy... worse than Bishoo.
